I know nothing about him but his college numbers look solid

Yep. First drafted Squadson

Uh, is he a player that is comparable to Ben Simmons?

Really good defender. Great college player, not sure how well it will translate.

He’s a great defender that can pass and can’t shoot so kinda

I like him as a defensive wing. Good potential

He's tall and drinks Fosters. Close enough.

That definitely seems to be a trend. I like it. Copying the Hawks a little.

shot 35% from 3 this past year, seems like a good potential guy to draft in the 2nd round

Recipient of both the SEC's Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors, Herbert Jones rebounded from an underachieving first three years at Alabama to emerge as one of the best two-way players in the college game, leading the Crimson Tide to perhaps their best season in program history. Standing over 6-foot-7 with a wingspan over 7-feet, Jones is capable of defending guards, wings, forwards and even some big men, thanks to his outstanding feet, length, technique, awareness and intensity.
Offensively, he's never been known as a prolific scorer, often struggling to scratch double-digits in college as he's a poor perimeter shooter who often didn't need to be guarded by opponents. To counter that, Alabama used Jones quite a bit at point guard, taking advantage of his excellent feel for the game to facilitate for teammates as well as find ways to score cutting off the ball or operating out of the post. Playing with a more consistent level of aggressiveness will be a major key for him in the NBA as he was often criticized for his passivity early in his career. --Jonathan Givony

Yeah. He had to play guard for Alabama last year also. Can defend every position and is a great facilitator. Can’t shoot outside though.

Jones doesn’t strike me as a guy that goes to Birmingham

Another Brandon Ingram replacement

Def a Ben Simmons prototype

Taking a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year finalist is fine with me.

A few guys still on the board that I would have taken before him, but happy to have Jones nonetheless. Really good and versatile defender. Also quite a good passer and processes the game quickly. Had some really impressive passes in traffic that I saw through what looked like impossible passing lanes.
