Amen, struck close to me a few times. Lost one of my best friends in particular who always tried to 'save others" while not being strong enough to save herself...I chided her many times about the company she kept and the wolves finally pulled her down in 2011. Heroin OD! Miss her often!

If only it was that easy for some people. I am not sure how easy it is for people to get prescribed opioids today. I know a lot of these pain management places have been shut down, but there are a lot of people who became addicted because their doctor over prescribed them pain meds and when they couldn't get pain meds as easy, heroin was the next best option.. And it is cheaper.

And some people make stupid mistakes early in their life that ends up costing them their life earlier than it should have.

There are some who are selfish and they probably think "I wont get addicted", but for the most part, I don't think a lot of these young people don't even really think about their future.
