The double sided irony of covid

Does anyone else think about the hypocritical and unequal use of the covid topic?
On one hand, the Left used covid as a cudgel against Trump to hurt him at ever turn. They mocked him for his assertions the vaccines were going to come before the end of 2020.
They mocked him for pushing alternative treatments. They ridiculed him as he tried to keep covid infected travelers from entering the US.
They scorned him If he tried to tie covid to the Chinese in any way. I could go on.
Conversely, covid is currently being used to bolster Biden and is used as a crutch to free him from the blame of any failed policy or wrong decision. They give Biden credit for any positive covid news, while simultaneously absolving him of any covid blame.
It’s the same exact virus, but the Left and the media have two completely different spins on how it’s used.

There is too much irony to even mention, but one thing sticks in my mind from last year. They used the police to run law abiding Americans off of beaches and baseball fields due to lock downs, and now are defunding said police and allowing real crime to run rampant including illegal immigration.

Your confusion can be easily resolved.
Trump didn't give a shite about COVID and wanted to let maximum damage happen while pretending everything was totally fine and normal because he thought it would help him politically.
Joe Biden does give a shite about COVID and wants to make sure that we are doing everything we can to minimize damage.
Funny thing is, if Trump had taken it seriously and acted like a war time president against the virus, he probably would have won reelection.
