I am hearing 40 million a year. This will limit, guite a bit, what Baltimore can spend on others.

This guy has to learn how to throw a football downfield in the playoffs.

Don’t shoot the messenger

Ravens will not get to Super Bowl on Jackson’s arm. They get in playoffs against good competition and teams cut off his running lanes and Ravens are done.

Seems like a lot of money for an athlete and not a true QB.

He has a shelf life. Everybody knows it, but nobody in sports media is willing to say it

If he can negotiate it good for him, and that’s seriously generational changing money every year for he and his family.

However, if he were to take a more team friendly (ie smaller) completely guaranteed deal his team could be better.

Does the union not allow that?

People always overreact to these deals. It’s never as crippling as the published money indicates.

In reality, it will be a 4-5 year extension added to the remaining 2 years on his rookie deal. Some of the salary cap impact can be spread over the next 2 seasons. The Ravens will still be able to walk away from him before he turns 30.

Dude threw the most touchdown passes in the league in his first full season as a starter but Saints fans say he can’t pass.
