I think we can all agree that for an individual covid is about the same as the flu. But surely we can all agree it's way more contagious than the flu.
And if you had an outbreak of flu at a school, where it was spreading like wildfire and getting staff and kids sick, making parents miss work, etc. you'd probably want to you know... stop the spread of it.

bullshite! It's going through Metairie as well. I've known a few kids who have had it. NONE are "extremely" sick. Mild flu like symptoms is the worst, but it has been sniffles or asymptomatic for most.

Funny you should ask. They do not require one anymore, but there are currently petitions going around to reinstate it until our vaccination rates go up and the kids can be vaccinated.
