Pardon me for clarifying this situation. The United States of America is not the same thing as "America".
There will always be some freedom-loving people on this land that we call America. Whether there will always be a "United States of America" is less certain.
But, yes, the USA is now certainly a Radical Leftist nation-state.

Facetiousness aside, you were probably correct in your original response that OP probably would have been closer to accurately diagnosing the state of affairs under the current Administration* as fascism vs. communism.
