New Delhi, Jul 16 (IANS): For the first time, Japan has removed Taiwan from a map of China in its Defence of Japan white paper published this week. The 2021 white paper by Japan's Defence Ministry focuses considerably on the threats posed by China to the region due to the latter's increasing assertion in the waters around the South China Sea and the Pacific region.

The white paper in its earlier editions had always shown Taiwan and China together, alluding to Taiwan as a territory of China. Taiwan was also shown along with China in the same chapter and map, to the annoyance of the Taiwanese people living in Japan. However, this time, the Taiwan News website points out that "there seems to be a distinction between the two countries, indicating a change in policy by Japan Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi".

Ole Japan getting Chippy again. Good to see, and glad we'll be fighting together this time around.

The new Japanese war cry:

"The Third Sino-Japanese War: It's time to rape Nanking...again!"

I’m starting to question everything.

Time to independently research what happened prior to the rape of Nanking. Maybe it was justified.

Unfortunately, I’m not so sure about this. It seems the American people in general, and the U.S. government (who decides who we ally with) are on two different wavelengths on this issue. The chinese influence in the U.S. government has become a very real problem.

Wow!!!!

Japan has stated that it will fight for Taiwan. China issued a rebuttal against Japan the other day warning if Japan sends one soldier, one airplane, one anything that they will answer with nuclear bombs against Japan.

Doesn’t South Korea have the bomb?

They may not be big on Japan but they both hate China and North Korea for good reason.

If we get into.it with China we may have two.allies over there that we can depend.on: 1. Japan 2. Australia

South Korea, Vietnam and many of the other countries have been noncommittal so far. They are trying to ride the fence or want no part of it. China is a damn bully that threatens the countries in the region regularly.

If you think the supply chain has been screwed up because of Covid, wait until we have a war in Asia.

Russia and China are right now forming an alliance that in 4-5 years will be unbreakable and sustained. India has close ties with Russia but we know how India and China get along. Pakistan is China's greatest friend in that part of the world. We know India's and Pakistan's relationship.

In less than 10 years China will replace the US as the worlds dominant superpower. The shift is happening now as we speak. It has started already in nation's attitudes toward China and the US.

It's crazy how in less than a century we had a down right bloody and terrible war with Japan and we're allies with China to a certain extent and now its completely been reversed.
