Numbers and hospitalizations jumping up again
“Louisiana reported 853 additional cases today with 8.3% of tests positive (molecular tests only).”
Cases
Hospitalizations
“The number of people in the hospital increased by 10 to 348. That's +19.6% week on week and the highest count since May 8.”

Of course it is. Slow joe fell short of vaccination numbers. Need to ramp up the fear.

Yeah, they’re getting concerned about the relatively low vaccination rate and now seeing the jump in hospitalizations

An increase of 10 means that there were 338 last week. 338 * 1.196 is 404.2.
They're fricking lying to us. As usual. God, I hate these people. They need to meet the front end of a speeding bus.

Increase in 10 in a day. The 19 percent is for the week, not day

I’d say all the senior doctors went to the beach and out of an abundance of caution, the residents are admitting them.

Ah. That is my mistake, then.
They're still fricking lying to us.

10 yesterday, up 19.6% on the week. Pretty simple to understand.

That “spike” is percent positive. Which means nothing when you get into higher vaccination rates and the people getting sick and testing positive become a more likely combination.

Ehhh. New deaths were just 2.
Just 27 reported in the last week.

Would LOVE TO KNOW how many of those were vaccinated.. But we won't..

Definitely a “spike” in cases too. We haven’t been seeing numbers like we have the last few days (yes the Monday count was for about 4 days, but average still higher.)

The pattern has always been the same.....cases first, then hospitalizations later, then deaths. But yes I still expect the deaths to be lower given the vaccinations
