Branded for life...with a big bullseye on his back. I can not imagine that guy walking around in public ever again, with any feeling of security. He earned it. A lot have.

As the pressure builds, the 'weak links' - or strong, all depending on pov - will begin to snap.

And people say white genocide is a myth. A black officer murders a white lady in cold blood and the case isn't even investigated. The government and media cover it up.

We all know what happens when the situation is reversed. All of DC would have been burned to the ground.

Although the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales was mostly fictional there was also a lot of truth in the hatred many folks in Missouri had towards a federal government that invaded this state and terrorized the citizenry. I’m not saying slavery was in any way an acceptable practice going forward for our country but the federal government knew the CSA was spread thin so they attacked a vulnerable state knowing there would be no help to repel the federal troops. The federal government created men like Josey Wales….Jesse James, Bloody Bill Anderson, Quantrill, the Youngers, etc.

Yes, there were many Missourians in the post Civil War Missouri who just like Josey had a difficult time letting go of how they were treated and it seems there’s a lot of Americans who want to keep picking the scab of a bitter past.
