I know I've said it many times before, but I'm hoping he has an Admiral Schofield type of senior season. Two guys that were similarly built. A little too big to be a true wing SF. A little too short to be a true PF. But a lot of offensive skill. On a team that was in the top 5 of offensive efficiency last year Days was the most efficient. The ONLY reason he did not average 17-18 points per game is because there just weren't enough shots to go around between him, Smart, Watford and Thomas. LSU also gets their best rebounder back.

It will be interesting to see how they gel, but LSU should have a good mix of experience and young talent. Pinson and Days are both seniors. Miller, while only a sophomore, started a full season for a great Illinois team. Those three should hopefully give Reid the space he needs to work inside. I think Eason or Wilkinson is the 5th starter because this teams DESPARATELY needs guys to defend and rebound. Scoring, once again, should not be an issue.

There are signs Shareef O’Neal is finally healthy and starting to shake off the rust. He could be a key part of the rotation for 15 to 20 minutes and could give them 8 ppg and 6 rebounds with a blocked shot or two.

My favorite Darius Days stat:

We were 19-1 last year when he scored double digits.

We were 0-8 last year when he scored single digits.

The 1 loss we had when he scored double digits - 11 points vs. Texas Tech...he went out with 11 minutes left in the 2nd half with an injury. We got outscored 29-23 to close out that game to lose.

Generally if he hits his first couple of shots it was over for the opponent. He opens up the floor so much as he usually pulls a big out there. And the boards are big too. His leadership will definitely help this team and I think with a true PG his stats will increase also.

The team easily played well enough to win the game when Days was out... Then they completely shite the bed. We had absolutely no business losing that game.

And had we won that we probably aren’t seeded where we ended up and having to play Michigan round 2

Who is the "true PG" to whom you are referring? Neither Miller nor Pinson were the PGs on their teams last season. In fact, Smart had almost double the assists of each as LSU's PG.

I'm guessing Pinson will be the primary ball handler (in a role similar to Smart) this upcoming season. But he is by no means a "true PG"
