Vitello is simply the flavor of the month on this board who doesn't seem to have control of his program. He may be the greatest coach in the NCAA but he's a hothead. He already has shown he cant control his assistant coaches. His players act like clowns. He will do something to cause major embarrassment to TN within the next two years. LSU needed someone to right the ship not create a frathouse atmosphere. Great Job Woody!!!!

He was too young for the job. A grown assed program needs a grown assed man for the head coaching job.

You do realize Johnson is 44. Only 2 years older than Vitello. I think Johnson is a good hire but I really believe LSU missed out on Vitello. It looks as if we weren’t even interested. I think that’s a mistake but time will tell. Here’s to Johnson

There is only so many times you can ask players to run through a brick wall for you, eventually you must be a good coach and show maturity.

Has nothing to do with age, it has everything to do with maturity. Vitello is 42 but acts 18. from the youtube videos posted Johnson is 44 but acts much older and wiser.

Being a fiery and emotional coach makes you an 18 year old. Some of you old timers need to relax with this mindset. You probably don’t like Will Wade either.

No.. but wearing a Call her Daddy hat in the CWS promo and coming out of the dugout crying after every single close call do. There's specifics that make Vitello an immature douche. Its not just cause he gets excited.

Lol that’s how things go on this board. The second it starts to look like we won’t be getting something we desperately want, we suddenly never actually wanted it at all. Same goes for the recruiting board. Whenever a dude starts trending away from LSU, whatever backup option we have on deck suddenly becomes super underrated—actually better than the first guy, who actually happens to be overrated or a headcase or a character problem.

I'll be honest - that Texas game was a real shitshow.

If Vitello got that offer from LSU and didn't say yes and then put on that episode of Cobra Kai on national TV, I can totally understand Woodward moving on. If in fact it happened that way.

I’m not sure I agree but I admit I’ve followed from a distance. I feel like y’all have gone old guy in the biz, and it was time to rejuvenate. That’s why I never understood the Corbin love. He’s great no doubt; but ho hum, at least in the hire for length regard bc he’s 60. Tony knows how to get the younger crowd involved; and more importantly for the team, knows how to recruit. That’s why I was worried until y’all announced. I dont know much at all about JJ so he might be a perfect fit. Good luck gents

What is this cobra Kai connotation you are trying to make, bc that didn’t make sense
