Yeah the one that gashed LSU on 28-134-1 last year

King and the OL have 3 cupcakes plus Miss state and Arkansas until we get into the thick of our schedule. That’s enough time to gel if King lives up to the hype. However that remains to be seen as he saw very limited action last year.

Jimbaws Offense can’t keep up with LSU, Bama, and probably Ole Miss.....
You left being 3rd in the Big 12 to being a perineal 3rd in the WEST.

OL
The concern about the OL is fair. There is talent there, but gelling a new OL is the concern.
QB
While breaking in a new QB with a new OL can be a challenge, most Ags are excited to see Haynes King take the reigns. Mond struggled with the deep ball; we expect that to improve with King.
RB
Our RB stable is excellent. Need the OL to run block.
I think Jimbo's offense gets a bad rap. He calls a comlementary offense to keep the defense from taking excessive snaps. A welcome change from the Sumlin days.
On defense we return 9 starters

Not exactly "stole". But if Tony V offers Nolan an assistant job he will not need that moving van.

75 million. I live around a lot of Aggies. None of them are unhappy. Not sure where you are getting your info? They are extremely pleased with Jimbo and the hires he made - espcecially their DC. Let's face it, they stepped up and hired a damn good coach. We got fortunate Ed O could coach a great team and for a lot less dough. I can't blame any school for stepping up and hiring the best they can find and paying a lot of money for that talent, i.e, baseball as well.

Jimbo and Kirby aren't going anywhere both schools will ride out having them they are both young. When Saban does eventually retire they will be in a good spot
Not to mention the expansion of 12 teams now potentially has a&m and uga in it consistently
They are both is good spots.

Going through the SEC gauntlet still ain't easy. We struggled, too. We will get em this year though.

A&M opened the check book and announced they would spend what ever it took to establish a great athletic program. Now with NIL I am sure they will again open up the check book and buy players like all the teams that want to win will do.
The arms race for college athletics is where we are with facility upgrades, coaches salaries and now NIL.
Most colleges will decide not to participate but the ones that do will only get better and separate from the pack.
I fully expect A&M to become a power house as they have a very rich alumni endowment.

I have seen so many pre-season articles regarding how good TAMU is going to be this year. I feel as if people are more confident in them than last year.
Fisher finally got rid of Kellan Mond...

Breaking in a new QB and multiple OL. Their recent recruiting classes have been good, OURs have been better. Almost like some out there are 'willing' them to be better....

Bama, MSST, and Arkansas in Texas. Only go on the road in conference to OM and LSU. I still see 3 losses there...
Losses to Alabama and LSU. I could also see one more random loss to a team like state or Arkansas.

9.3 billion in endowment....lots of money if they need it and Jumbo has been on the fundraising/recruiting trail.
That’s overrated. It’s like if you and I were in a gum chewing contest, and I said, “Well, I’ll win because I have a billion dollars.” What good would that do? You can only chew so much gum.
Same with this. You can only pay players so much.

I don’t think people realize the systemic disorder in how people in College Station live their lives, that trickles down to how their student athletes perform
I move for work a lot and have never been more stressed in a town than here. The way the roads are designed to try to force car accidents, to the tight corridors you have to walk through to grocery shop, it all eats away at your psyche. I blame Aggie Engineering for their relative lack of success in athletics, and I am being completely serious.

Well they DO have Jimbo...that alone is worth ~ 9 wins, even with an average supporting cast.

This is true. He is a good ball coach. Had one 8 win season at A&M and one losing season at FSU. I hope he does continue to elevate their program because it’ll make it a more fun series for us in November.
