I'm sure you all knew this before me, but apparently this will be the last week of Conan.

quote:

We haven’t gone a full year without Conan on late night since 1993, when his long-running NBC series began. Now, ol’ Coco is going full-speed ahead on his pivot to podcast, and we’ll be ending the show with two final weeks at the Largo Theater in Los Angeles, where he has been filming remotely during the pandemic. In an exciting change, he’ll be welcoming a live studio audience to the space for these final two weeks, which will run from June 14 to the finale on Thursday, June 24.

Monday, June 21: Bill Hader
Tuesday, June 22: Seth Rogen
Wednesday, June 23: Dana Carvey
Thursday, June 24: Jack Black

I'm surprised and disappointed Norm MacDonald isn't on the list. If I made a highlight reel of Conan's guest interviews over the years going back to the 90's, it would consist entirely of Norm's guest appearances.

You are the new king of latenight!

I might have gave a shite 20 years ago.

Now i figure there is a better chance of him doing something funny on a podcast than on NBC or TBS.

Jack Black as your final guest after 30 years in late night is just kind of sad.

I can't decide which is sadder, Jack Black or Seth Rogan. Jesus.

I'm thinking Jack and Dana are close friends of his.

I mean, I love Dana Carvey, but when was the last time he was relevant in the industry?

Hopefully he has Norm on his new HBO Max show, where he can be more unleashed like on that Byron Allen show

He’s late to the game. When late night guys decided a several years ago to stop being funny, they lost their fan base.

They see guys like Joe Rogan, Tim Dillon, and other comedians killing it on the podcast format and think they can do the same.

This is also the same thing happening to major network and cable news.

Love Conan in the 90's and 2000's. He lost the show 1) when he went to TBS 2) when he started doing full segments on political BS

Norms farewell to Letterman was one of my favorite moments of late night tv.

Would have liked to see Burr, Norm, or Paul Rudd as guests during the last week. Just always think of Conan's interviews with them (or just the running bit with he and Rudd).

Conan's last two weeks of the Tonight Show were still some of my favorite late night memories. Just a great stretch of the more subversive parts of O'Brien's humor which is always where he shined.

Kinda totally sucks balls that they moved it up an hour so I only tuned in for the last 15 minutes. They better be replaying it and not giving me back to back episodes of The Cube.

Never disliked Conan but I haven't watched more than 5 minutes of any late night show in the last 20 years. And I'm sure that was on YouTube.

Jack Black is not necessarily the hugest star ever but he’s a great personality for interviews.

If I’m a comedian and it was between the Rock or JB as a last guest, I’d rather it be JB because he wants to be there as a friend rather than some star pimping his new movie.
