Anyone who watched him at lsu could see this coming. He wilted in the spotlight but could fill up a stat sheet with the pressure off.
Look at the game vs OU. Buddy hield dominated the second half and stepped up to be the player ou needed him to be. Simmons barely made a peep in the second half.
He never had that dog in him and that team needed him to be an alpha dog. People will blame quaterman for that year but I’m sure it’s tough to be told defer to the guy who wants absolutely nothing to do with leadership/the team/school even if they have more talent
