I'm 48 and still ride every couple of weeks. Mostly doing just street tricks and using the curb. I was sponsored by a local skateshop in my teens and have always loved doing it.
I've got 2 'hood kids, 9 and 7, come out with their boards when they see me...its fun teaching them dangerous stuff.
I wanted to build a launch ramp during lock-down but the wife talked some sense into me.

We talking long boards, or regular boards/cruisers? Long boards can DIAF but regular boards, why not? Just pop in one of the 12 Star Wars movies and forget about what other people are doing.
ETA: any of the older baws in here who said they used to skate ever skate with Sal Barbier back in the day? Pioneer and hes from the BR area.

Sal Barbier came to the skate park/pawn shop in Ocean Springs back in the day. He was bad arse

Some of the tricks skateboarders pull off is mind blowing to me. More-so than any athletes in major sports.
