Seeing them play at UNO in the early 80’s.
Jack Lamabe was head coach.
Back then UNO had a better baseball program.

Todd Walker smashing the ball in the championship game against Wichita State.
ETA: I remember as a kid going to those old Winn Dixie Showdowns in the dome. I remember one year Chris Guillot sat near us, and he was relentless. That was before I knew who he even was. LSU would bring a lot of people to those games. Good times.

Going to a SEC doubleheader with Ben McDonald and Russ Springer pitching. I think it was vs Tenn.

Busch Challenge in the Superdome. My dad would check me out of school early and we would usually watch UNO and Tulane get their asses kicked then watch LSU!! Ben McDonald was unreal!

It's the little things. I remember playing Long Beach State one year in February. It was like 25 degrees. In the bottom of the first inning the LBSU SS came out in short sleeves. In the second he came out in long sleeves. I still laugh about that.

Going to a fall series against Navy when my then wife was an engineering grad student.

At the main entrance at old box I remember my dad taking me and a couple of friends
We would play cup baseball under the main grandstand and no one got in our way
The old light poles were in front of bleachers and there was only one set of beaches by third base and people sat on the light poles
They were eventually moved to make room for more bleacher Seating down lines

Either late 1980's or Early 1990's I watched Ben Mcdonald pitch against Donnie Wall at Moore Field in Lafayette. LSU against ULL that stadium was packed and there were people up in the trees surrounding the field.

Saw LSU play A&M in a doubleheader (7 inning games) on a Saturday circa mid 70s.

Earliest thing I can remember (but must’ve been following the team for a while to have a favorite) was my favorite player Wally Pontiff signing my glove after his last series at the box, I believe we played Arkansas. My dad made me keep using the glove and the signature wore off smh.

Had to be the Morris homerun. I can’t remember many other significant situations before then. I remember LSU beating USA to win a regional in 97 I think it was.

Junior season at LSU. I think Jack Lamabe won the SEC that year?

1967. I was a sophomore and would go to games at the Box. At that time, you would be lucky to have 100 people in the stands. Watched Bruce Baudier pitch a perfect game while I was studying in the stands.

Playing against them in 1992 midweek game. A little chilly but the old box was a great experience.
