Let's review, once again, just how awful last offseason was.

Waited until August 15th to fire Alvin Gentry

Took two months to make coaching hire.

Hired Stan Van Gundy.

Fired Stan Van Gundy 8 months later

Traded Jrue Holiday, but acquired Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams in the trade, both of whom failed here. Gave up a 1st and multiple seconds to achieve this, and more importantly...

Got too close to the cap line due to Adams deal, disallowing you to make any other moves.

Then doubled down and extended Adams at above what would likely be his market value.

JJ Reddick asked for a trade...decided not to trade him until he had completely lost any value.

Acquired no shooting.

Christ. What an awful offseason.

And we’ve pissed Ingram and Zion off in the meantime.

And somehow people still downvote when I call Griff the worst GM in the league

This is why I don’t think he’ll promote Spoon to headcoach. Every move he makes This offseason needs to be excelllant or he’ll get fired. We’re basically back at square 1 with “the plan”. He’s making an absolute huge gamble by making Spoon HC

I still think the overall haul for Jrue was good

Could it have been better? Of course, but we still own the Bucks future, and they may collapse.

It's like when we replaced Shinn with the Benson's, we made everything more aesthetically pleasing (new facilities, rebrand, etc.), but we still make some stupid arse decisions on the stuff that really matters.

This organization may as well leave New Orleans if they fail for a third time to do anything of note with a young superstar.

It couldn’t have been much worse. Literally the only thing that was a positive out of last season besides seeing continued growth in Zion’s game was Jaxon NAW solidifying their places on this team or as prone value trade chips going forward. If Jaxon comes into next season with a legitimate 3 point shot then his value will skyrocket.

The only thing that wasn't a Z minus was the picks we got for Jrue

Those picks will be very valuable now that it’s been made clear that Giannis is not capable of carrying a team without another star. Jrue and Middleton are good pieces to have but Giannis needs a star guard lije Dame or Bradley Beal.

The more the Bucks keep flaming out, the more the disgruntlement grows and they're liable to do some crazy shite which never ends well.

Good news for us

Unless they wrangle a superstar somehow, but they can't compete with anyone else around the league asset wise. And they're capped to the hilt

So I see that as very unlikely

You honestly thought we would get better? They had a poster that thought the best we’d get was Gary Harris and will Barton and maybe, a first round pick.

Three first round picks and swaps was way more than I thought we’d get.

I was hoping for the warriors #2 last year and thought it was possible but not likely.

Griffin has been close to a disaster, and don't tell me he gets credit for picking Zion.

The picks in the Jrue trade were GREAT. And could be really good down the line.

But everything else: taking bledsoe, trading one of those picks for Adams, essentially hard capping yourself, and then extending Adams well above market value were...not good.

I'm referring to the Bledsoe vs Hill, and the Steven Adams part of it. What we traded Jrue for was very good, then we traded part of that away for Adams which isn't ideal, and we should've kept Hill versus Bledsoe.

We likely got the extra pick for taking Bledsoe.

The problem was we then used it to get Adams...and then extended Adams.

I can see the thought behind the Adams move. Bledsoe has never been this bad. That's not on Griff imo.

The only real negative was extending Adams. And even then it's not terrible because Adams still has value. Getting off Horford would've been WAY harder since he is 8 years older than Adams at $30 mil/yr
