I truly believe with those two as coaches combined with the amount of talent this LSU team has we can win a natty within the next three years

We can probably win a natty next year if someone can just make Milazzo a .240-.260 hitter and Thompson and Bianco .280 hitters.

There just isn't enough hitting at the bottom of the lineup to be anything other than a really good team. To win in Tennessee and Omaha those bottom lineup hitters need to start having career days for the next 3 weeks.

If you could just get Milazzo to .220 that would be enough to make him an overall productive player

What about if Travinski can hit .275 with 12 HR and 45 RBI and play slightly worse defense than Milazzo?

Although honestly I think his injury more than anything will prevent him from making that offensive jump for next year.

He hit .271, 4HR, 13 RBI this year in limited playing time and having nearly half his season cut due to injury.

It's not outside of the realm of possibility that he can develop into a .275, 10+HR, 40+ RBI guy.

ETA

Keep in mind he played less than half a season his freshman season due to COVID and barely half his sophomore season due to injury.....certainly there is more room for growth.

ETA2

His productivity was ticking up as well when he got injured.

Two meat heads like Godwin and Andy clashing would be a terrible idea

He played in 11 SEC games

I agree that if he’s healthy he has potential to be good at the plate
He needs to get a lot better behind the plate tho

yea...you will have to decide if his offense is worth the defensive drop off.

You may even swap them out based on who pitches.

Travinski isn’t catching next year period. He is coming off of arm surgery. He will be DH only next season.

"AC a great collegiate coach"? His replacement as HC said that that was the poorest prepared team, fundamentals & discipline, that he has ever seen. He said that he had to spend the first 3 weeks....the season had already started...starting all over again. But in addition to the reasons why he was fired, the way he left CPM & LSU, with literally no notice & no professionalism, he forever burned any bridges back to LSU.

Why would Godwin want AC anywhere near his program?

LSU hasn't hit like they did under him since he left.
He had an affair, get over it...hell his wife forgave him..
At least his mistake is behind him..They all make em..

If Andy is such a hot prospect why hasn't he been picked up as a hitting coach at another school by now?

He turned down the head coaching job at Eastern Kentucky last year
I’d be shocked if he’s not hired in some capacity in the next few months. I could see Schloss hiring him
