The CWS died a little bit with the move to TD. It doesn’t have the same energy anymore and the game itself has changed. Rosenblatt being build on a stadium helped the balls get out the stadium while I think they severely decreased with the move. Half of the trip was visiting the neighborhood spots that are now obsolete.

if they ever replace Wrigley

That's almost sacreligious to even put that in writing! That's like getting rid of Fenway Park.

I remember being bent out of shape back in 1970 when the Cincinnati Reds abandoned their legendary, iconic Crosley Field park for the new, state-of-the-art Riverfront Stadium (which has since bit the dust).

There was a sports memorabilia shop across the street from Rosenblatt and the owner kept an ice chest in the back room for thirsty Tiger fans.

Everything about the new one sucks

The dimensions? Suck
The name? Sucks - at least call it New Rosenblatt

It’s a giant empty corporate shell and the CWS deserves so much better.

TD Ameritrade has basically eliminated the home run. I don’t think there has ever been a home run hit in centerfield in the World Series. Somebody correct me if this is wrong.

I like the location of TD much better, much more going on and basically walking distance to downtown, but it definitely doesn't have the mystique and grit of Rosenblatt.

It’s ok to be nostalgic about Rosenblatt, but the new park and location is so much better.

It’ll be more appreciated when LSU finally wins one there.

When they added lights to Wrigley in the ‘80’s was sacrilegious.

How do you like the Hotel prices around the Stadium?

Kinda like the old Box

Both the old box and Rosenblatt were in desperate need of replacements.

The only reason we miss those places is because the majority of us weren't adults in the 90's and so childhood nostalgia has taken over.

TD Ameritrade is very nice and is a fun place to take in a ballgame... New Box, meh.

Just curious about history here, I’m sure most would say it needs to stay, and I know it would seem weird not to talk about and look forward to getting to Omaha. But given the comments about TD Ameritrade, is everyone opposed to having the tourney somewhere other than there? Has this ever been proposed or talked about seriously? How did it come about to always host there, instead of moving to different hosts like the other major sports championships?

A few photos from Game 1 versus Texas in 2009. Fantastic experience!

TD Ameritrade is in an awesome location for everything except a baseball game. It has zero of the allure or luster that old Rosenblatt had and the sport has seemingly struggled as a whole since that change as well.

It would have helped a little to call it New Rosenblatt - should’ve known better than to sell out

TD Ameritrade sucks for home run hitting teams. Wind blows in almost all the time.

Nice. Great pics. That was the last World Series there. Didn’t they tear it down 2010
