Most of those guys didn’t want to be there but did their duty...I’m grateful for what they did and it’s a great time to honor their sacrifice. We are truly blessed.

I still can’t fathom the feelings those GOATs must’ve had knowing what they were about to do

My grandfather was one of those boys. At 19, but at Guadalcanal.

it’s incredible the amount of balls it would take to move forward once the ramp dropped.
the carnage you would see in that one split second. the muzzle flashes on the cliffs. the water splashing from explosions.
and they walked forward into it.

This is one reason why I love all the amazing, straight, white men out there. God bless you all for making the world a safer and better place to live!

Now, Brain Williams 'honors' their memory with the claim they were ANTIFA.
What a world

They would probably turn around if they saw the state of our country today.

When I was a child I had a next door neighbor who we all called "Sarge." He was an artillery spotter who came ashore on D-Day with the 4th Division at Utah Beach. He then advanced with Patton's 3rd Army as it raced across France. He died back in 2002 but he was a wealth of knowledge and he always loved imparting it to us kids.
