When you look at the amount of talent that has gone through the University of Florida the past 10+ years, they have underachieved probably more than LSU has. One of my best friends is a huge Gator fan and has complained about Sully for years. He is praying we hire him. IMO, we need a coach with the “it” factor and he ain’t it. He has had more disappointing outcomes and head scratchers than Mainieri.

These stories have already been proven to be false. The Gators have no fans. Especially huge fans.

Who has the “it” factor in your opinion because it seems like most on here want a big name and aren’t super concerned with who would actually be the best guy foe the job

FLA: 7 CWS in the last 10 seasons.
LSU:3 CWS in last 10 seasons.
Losers.

There really is no candidate with the it factor. There are no Skip Bertmans out there

Praying for their all-time winningest coach who has been to more CWS than all of UF's coaches combined to leave? Oh yeah, and he has their only NC in over 100 years of baseball. On top of that, their baseball atmosphere totally sucks. Your friend is a little out of touch with reality.

Though I do understand wanting to get rid of someone following a loss like today because it's natural to be pissed at first.

Very possible UF played flat today, knowing that O'Sullivan is gonzo!

If making the CWS semifinals 33% of the time is underachieving, I’d like to hear what your definition of achieving is.

Fun Fact: Skip was an assistant at Miami before coming to LSU. Rant favorite Tony Vitello was also an assistant before Tennessee hired him.

Former LSU asst coach and Miss St head baseball coach Andy Cannizaro has the "It" factor you're talking about, but I don't know if the guy will get another chance again at that level.

The most well thought of and well respected coach in the college baseball community just won the NAIA natty last night but how people would scoff at the idea of LSU hiring a “NAIA” coach

Because he’s not the most well thought of and well respected coach in the college baseball community. LSU isn’t hiring a guy from a fricking NAIA school

You’d be surprised

And I know LSU isn’t going to hire him, because it’s all about a name for a program like this

So, Gator fans are the same as Tiger fans, bitch about the current coach, no matter what they've done.
