Hey guys/gals:
Looking for a good orthopedic Dr in NELA.
I have had an issue with inner hip for a long time, and it starting to progress little by little over the last 2 years.
I'll hang up and listen.
Thanks

The OT has plenty of "inner hip" problems. You have come to the right place

Dr. Elliot Nipper is the best in the Monroe area.

If you don’t mind driving over to Flowood MS, Pickering does really good hip replacements at Mississippi Sports Med. They have an outpatient surgery center there.

I am not at the point of needing surgery yet.
I am still very mobile and the hip pain is not to bad.
I have talked to a couple of folks in the ortho field and one told me its a blood flow issue to the hip socket area and another said it could be a deposit of air on the hip joint.

Do they install a bleed off valve for that ? Hope they find your problem and you feel better.

Jeff Garrison, Alexandria (central LA) is all I got. Very good. Well liked.

Blood flow issue in the hip is typically Avascular Necrosis which causes the femoral head (the ball of your hip joint) to deteriorate. Even if you don’t need surgery those guys would do a good job checking you out. Also, if it’s some sort of Labral tear, Craft at that same facility is great with hip scopes. Hope you get some good news whoever you choose.

If it’s a labral tear or mild arthritis then it may be amenable to no surgical options such as steroid shots, physical therapy, or platelet rich plasma shots (for arthritis not the labral tear).

Richard Ballard at the green clinic in Ruston. Operated 2x on me when I was younger. Good man

I had absolutely no clue. Guy can go play in the road if that’s the case.
