Are Jones and Abrams the only 2 from LSU in the portal as of now?

Emari Frazier is (freshmen) but she entered it this fall.

Not to mention the last two SEC League Champs were secured on the field of Tiger Park. Neither were LSU.

Batting is the great equalizer. Scoring a total of 3 runs in 2 games is where you lay blame ultimately.

Watching the WCWS and all the talk about one of the best offensive seasons by Oklahoma and several other teams is frustrating.

If you can not average at least 4 runs a game, you can not compete. Bat technology is increasing each year, players getting stronger, park dimensions are not getting smaller.

The only thing different from other programs is the coaching.

3 Run bomb by James Madison against Oklahoma, proving my point. Oklahoma has won over 30 games by run-rule this season. I know their strength of schedule is not great, but Gasso is a head of the curve as usual.

LSU has scored 6 runs in their last 4 super regional games.

We only scored 3 in two games vs Minnesota even with a bunch of seniors in the lineup

Well if LSU SOFTBALL is at a pivotal point, do we have the coach in place to turn it around? We are losing out in Supers at an alarming trend, just getting there should not be the goal that you are satisfied with

Quickly followed by a 3 run homer by OU in the bottom. Will probably end in run rule

I believe the programmed peaked 3 years ago and Aleva did not want to rock the boat.

Only to say that yes I believe a coaching change is needed, and new assistants. Unwillingness to change is the big problem. I do like Sandra Simmons and think she should be offered a position.

It will come down to money soon. Is Torina and her assistants worth the investment for the results they have been getting. I do not think so.

I was definitely wrong about the run rule. OU can walk off in the bottom of 7 now

JMU upsets #1 Oklahoma, no run rule or wakloff. JMU get the HR to win the game.

And will we see changes on the staff? Something has to change.

How crazy would an elimination game between OU and OSU be in OKC should UGA beat the Lady Pokes?

That’s to much to read! Bottom line get a new staff!! It’s the same results every year!! Get a new staff or Beth Miles needs to move on.

Time for change in softball leadership. Doesn't seem to be any interest or vision to become an elite program - above average, regional champion is who we are (apparently). Not a very good recruiting message! If I recall correctly, BT stated during the ribbon cutting of the totally awesome Mike Moore Performance Center last year that we are raising the bar at LSU. (Thank you Moore family and other donors for this facility!) I assumed at that time, BT was referring to the softball program - the jury is still out.

As much as I'd hate to see her go, don't be surprised if Pleasants considers entering the portal. She is an elite player as a freshman and deserves an elite program. And how did Bailey Hemphill from Lafayette end up at Alabama, and Kiley Naomi from Maurice end up at OK State? (Both Alabama and OK State are in the 2021 WCWS.)

Could be that the recruiting emphasis is on pitchers ( rhp’s only, no lefties) and the position players are recruited from feeder teams (travel ball).

All my friends in Texas used to go nuts because Mack Brown let all that talent come to Lsu and to other states. You cant assune that every lousiana kid is automatically going to want to come to Lsu. You lose players like Hemphill and Chaumaunt like that.
