And will we see changes on the staff? Something has to change.

Judging by Torina's post game comments, when she said we lost the series due to lack of experience. So I'm gonna say no....

“They (FSU) played five kids in the lineup that won a (2018) national championship; I played five kids that played their first SEC game this year,” an emotional Torina said after the game. “It’s a huge difference.

Aside from Pleasants, Briggs, Andrews,Gutierrez, Doyle and Clark. And Maybe Coffe. The rest of the team doesn’t belong in the SEC

Conversely, FSU played 5 kids who didn't win a national championship in 2018 and we played 5 who were very experienced players who have played against FSU now 3 times. What is she trying to say?

She has lost me. I am ready for a total change of this staff

Sunseri was a fricking alll American who hit 17 home runs two years ago and Stewart led the team with her bat as a freshmen hit near .350. How are they not SEC caliber players?

I mean they shouldn't be regressing that much. An off year I can understand but the numbers shouldn't plummet the way they have.

I wonder how bad they were in practice or off the field activity, because it seems to me they were not given any opportunities in games to see it they could produce. Anyway, if they are indeed leaving, the fallout has begun

Hardly, come on, two girls that never played decide to go to portal and you are saying, “the fallout has begun”, give me a break. So two players decide they want to go elsewhere because they couldn’t break the lineup and now way more are going to leave because of it....talk about stretching it there. I really doubt either Of those two will end up at any power 5 team. With the extra class available to play, there are more players available each year which then makes it tougher for maybe not as talented of a player to break a lineup.

Crazy how so many people come out of the shadows to say crazy things this time of year. With the new portal rules and extra players competing for roster spots every team will have players going in the portal.

Should have been clear. I wasn’t counting pitchers. I really was referring to position players. Beth actually does a great Job of finding pitchers. The position players is where the staff struggles mightily

Im just saying we have kids who hit the ball well and seem to hit a wall while in the program. Stewart was highly recruited. Sunseri was honestly a better hitter than a pitcher out of HS.

Development of hitters is probably our biggest weakness next to recruitment of catchers, although Bergeron coming in is a legit catcher prospect

I remember quite a few TD softball experts in 2017 and into 2018 saying Andrews was not a P5 player and was not worthy of wearing an LSU uniform. Remember? Some of those geniuses still post in these threads.

So, why does LSU have so many hitters seem to regress like the two you pointed out? That’s the real question.

As far as Stewart is concerned, there is a point to the competition being able to scout girls after they have seen them bat. As a freshman the opposing teams did not know how to pitch to Stewart, as time goes by, teams watch video and do there homework and learn how to pitch to hitters. If the hitter isn’t growing as a hitter and getting better, the opposing pitchers should have an advantage (if they have a good coach that studies competition).

Every player is not the same when they go off to college. Some players continue to love the game and work their tails off to get better while others might enjoy their time away from their parents and like the freedom and party aspect of college too much. As fans, most are not aware of what goes on behind the closed doors. Sunseri decline is more concerning as it has got worse each year.

Yes, I inferred from that post-SR news conference that Beth is going to dig in her heels regarding her buddy Dobson.

It may cost her her job one day, but definitely not this year or next. I hope I’m wrong, but I seriously doubt Dobson is even on Scott Woodward’s radar right now.

I am saying these are the first 2 that will portal. You think there won't be any others? Not sure what the number needs to be to = fallout. I agree with you that there are crazy posters.....the ones that have a different opinion from yours I guess

Don't expect any movement with LSU involving the transfer portal. Torina continues to believe in developing the players on the current roster and incoming freshmen.

Probably not but they could've won the national title and players that hardly play, and likely won't play more in the future, would still be transferring. Fallout implies it's because of how the season played out and it's unlikely that's the issue here.

To be fair, back then, and all the way up till this season, Anbdrews was a one-dimensainla batter... hit onlt to the third base side of the field...even with a force to third..

in that mode, in the bottom of the 7th, down a run, two outs... and a runner on second...Andrews comes up to bat...

Again, back rhen it would take TWO HITS to score that run... Andrews would have to reach safely and the next batter would have to get a hit... in that mode she could not drive a runner in from second base with that kind of batting.

Okay so it looks like we are going to be status quo in your opinion. Even if I would disagree with this I still wouldn't think you are crazy.

I don't understand why certain posters get called names when they post....like "crazy" or "miserable negatiger" for simply stating how they feel about things. We don't all have to agree
