Only if you like more food for less work and better taste.

Have never once seen anyone in Texas boil in clean water then dust.

Dusting Post-seasoned-boil? Yes.

And most of the crawfish boils that I’ve been a party to in texas have had louisiana representation. A quarter of LA now lives in the greater Houston metro area.

It's called streaming and @ Gator Cove that's how it was done in the hey day and we had folks waiting 2.5 hours to sit. Might I add, we also served free draft bybeer to those waiting in line. People didn't mind @ all! And the crawfish were the shite. U have to let them steam long enough and make sure they had enough water not to dry out. I worked there for 2 years in high school boiling crawfish, crabs, and shrimp.... trust me if done right its the best!

personal feeding hole is the shack beside Tech U-PackIt on Tech Drive in Ruston. People are from Iowa. I didn't know they had crawfish up there.

Try rhetts in Farmerville right before you cross the bridge on hwy 33 going into Farmerville

Shavers, Shane’s, crawfish hole #2, and crawfish palace are all good places in linden, haughton, bossier, and Shreveport

Have you tried adding cream of shrimp condensed soup to the boiling water? It adds a smoother flavor than mustard.

Best Crawfish I ever had came from Hebert’s Crawfish Catering. Got no idea where they from or how they do it, but they’re probably the best hands down in South Louisiana. Maybe there is better but I ain’t had it.

Honey B Ham knows how to do crawfish the proper way.

They have the best size in LC, but none of these places let their crawfish soak. That’s my issue. You got to cut the fire and let them sit for 15 minutes.

Same. I love me some hot dogs the next day from the boil too.

Unload it with vegetables and the cut them up and make omelette the next day.

Makes a bad arse omelette. Mushrooms, onions, little red potato mashed up.

If Laffy people are dusting their crawfish then they are as backwards as we’ve always thought.

Yep.
Hawks in Rayne was probably the only place I’ve had em like that and kind of liked em. Still rather not dust em
