I thought the narrative was all his players hate him? Happy for him. He’s had a great career. You can’t be a bad coach and win 1500 games. Whatever the future holds, so be it.

Why would they come in public and say they hate him. So dumb

If nothing else he is classy. It’s a shame our fans can’t always be that way.

Paul is a nice guy. He’s genuinely at peace with the retirement and he’s glad his friend Sully is taking over

No appreciation until he retires. We appreciated CLM to soon and the brass thought that meant we wanted to keep him so he was able to frick out 2016 too.

My dad and Kramer’s dad are old La Tech college buddies and still talk often. He says CPM plays favorites and really doesn’t care about half the team. Take it for what it’s worth.

Ask Kramer and his mom what they think of Paul Mainieri.

It’s hilarious that y’all think he simply plays favorites over who he believes is best for the team to win.

I knew someone would think they’re clever enough to catch that. Not surprised it’s you. Congrats.

Yes, it is time for him to retire but he did good things far a long time until the last few seasons. Remember he did win a World Series and he had a good run from 2013 to 2017.

2013 LSU 57–11 23–7 1st (West) College World Series
2014 LSU 46–16–1 17–11–1 2nd (West) NCAA Regional
2015 LSU 54–12 21–8 1st (West) College World Series
2016 LSU 45–21 19–11 3rd (West) NCAA Super Regional
2017 LSU 52–20 21–9 1st (West) College World Series Runner-Up
