Ben Shaprio said it best in his podcast the other day. The CDC put out that insane chart showing what vaccinated and un-vaccinated people could do a mere two weeks ago. It still called for vaccinated people to mask up outdoors if they were around large crowds and still called for vaccinated people to mask up while indoors. The head of the CDC just last week said she wouldn't allow her teenagers to go to summer camp without a mask. Now she comes out and says fully vaccinated people can take off their masks everywhere (unless on an airplane or on public transportation).

There was no new study that these new measures are based upon. The science of today was the same as the science of two weeks ago. What changed? Biden needed a win. The pandemic was officially over several months ago but they were hoping to stretch it out so they could ram through their spending bills. Then the jobs report came out, inflation began to rise, the Colonial Pipeline got hacked, and the Middle East began to dissolve into all-out war.

The events of the last 2-3 days prove beyond a shadow of a doubt to even those with below average intelligence that the CDC and WHO have been driven not by science, but by politics.

Because thecdc knows you can’t cure the common head cold.

If we ever get transparency here, we’ll learn that actual covid cases and deaths were low and a shite ton of deaths were thrown in.

The cdc is run partly by politics. That is true.

But what is also true is that the cdc is run in greater part by incompetence.

COVID deaths were real. I worked in a moderate size hospital in Montgomery AL and during he pea times we were overflowing with patients and many of them died. Multiply that across the country and the numbers were high.

Wouldn't explain excess deaths

The pandemic was essentially over in this country sometime in mid to late February once we crossed the 35 million fully vaccinated level . That is about the full amount of serious at risk people. Now that we are at 125 million or so we can tell the CDC and Fauci to eat a bag of uncircumcised smegma covered decks. Probably in those words.

So was the overreaction to COVID.

Maybe, maybe not. If COVID-related deaths claimed the lives of people who had other conditions that would have claimed their lives over the next 5 years or so, the accelerated deaths would partially account for the excess deaths in 2021.

We really missed a great opportunity to push the message of public health as a way to help fight COVID - better eating, exercise, etc. But that wouldn’t have produced the fear of lockdowns, masks, and a “dark winter.”

Nice attempt at a deflection.

Here is a recap:

Covid is real.

The CDC is political.

The initial response was understandable.

The lockdowns continuing well past the needed timeframe were examples of extreme government overreach.

The CDC put forth “recommendations“ that they had to have known would have horrible impacts fiscally.

The current 180 by those at the CDC illustrates how compromised the CDC actually is.

The only question I have is were there ulterior motives (insidious ones) by the CDC leadership that were politically motivated.

If yes, and it can be proven, then they should face the most extreme consequences imaginable.

I never denied the presence of the virus.

I simply started the fact that the cdc is political but it is even more incompetent.

They have become a government bureaucracy. They are political and incompetent.

Thanks Obama. Put idiots in charge of an organization and destroy the organization.

We will see that in the military soon.

Yes, and I lost my son to a hit and run driver on labor day weekend, yet the medical examiner still tested him for covid. Yes covid is real, is it the cause of all deaths counted since January 2020?

While true, that was through NIH iirc.

If I’m not mistaken, they are the same group that restricted (or greatly reduced) the availability of both Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin.

In short, they seem to be yet another politically motivated organization that currently operates against the healthcare needs of the public...in spite of their name (National Institute of Health).

Scientists who are actually good at science are working at private research labs or at NASA.

Scientists who suck at science work in policymaking roles because they're not qualified for a real job.

They can’t end the pandemic. The consequences from the stimulus, eviction moratoriums, and unemployment benefits will create either hyperinflation that will make a Venezuelan blush, mass homelessness of millions of Americans, or WWIII. Really the only 3 options moving forward ending pandemic.

It’s pretty clear the international community is aware of the relationship between the Wuhan lab in China and the US financial ties in acquiring gain of function regarding Covid. The only question is who will be the fall guy and what will the impact be moving forward. This is an opportune time for other countries to come after USA for our part in this mess.

The CDC & WHO are all but finished at this point. No one has any confidence in these two agencies regarding diseases and disease prevention. They are shill agencies bought and paid for by governments.

It will be interesting to see how/if HIPPA privacy laws become a thing of the past for the safety and well being of the public. If a business requires knowledge of your vaccination records, what about STD’s? Mental Health disorders?

The numbers are probably close to accurate.

What we should have done was minimal lockdowns and protected the vulnerable populations.

And vitamin D supplementation, especially during winter months (vitamin D deficiency season).

I said this in another thread. The last big spike was in December, and by then the vax started cutting the spread. Masks didn’t do jack shite (any benefits were mulled by people rewearing the same one over and over). The CDC knew this in January, Texas did too, and killed their restrictions.

Why didn’t we open up then? The fricking optics of masks coming off when Joe got inaugurated.
