I’m in the reserve at Temple Hills. Haven’t seen the statues you’re talking about. Where are they?

How much has your property tax gone up in the last 90 days?

Idiot Nashville mayors got too big for their britches and thought they could play like Daddy Government in DC. Spend spend spend and the Keynesian magic will increase revenue. shite doesn't even begin to work on a state or local level when you don't have a global banking cartel to frick the money supply and prevent failure.
It's also true that unlike many of the cities Nashville tried to mimic, the state government is actively hostile towards them. Small town legislators fricking HATE Nashville and do them no favors with the budget. I support a state takeover, because while the Tennessee legislature often makes me question if they're all legally retarded, they have 100% proven to be some of the best in the country at building a fiscally stable budget that entices job growth.

Such a Louisiana way of thinking. Exact reason why the state is set back decades financially.
A major corporation coming to town creating thousands of well paying jobs and bringing a $2 billion investment is never a mistake. It’s what creates economies that truly last. Tax breaks for these types of businesses are pennies in order to bring dollars
The idea that all incentives are bad is stupid.
The idea that all incentives are good is also stupid.
Depends on the details of the deal. Some are good, some are terrible.

You come up with that all on your own?

Their crime rate is pretty bad too but you won't see that on all the "lists" it's a facade it's a put on

Hell, AMERICA is dead if we don't start turning this shite around in '22.

Don't they have a pretty big medical industry also?

I wish this was true and liberals stopped moving to Tennessee, we don't want to be the next Georgia. We actually like our state the way it is.

Nashville is so yankee and corporate now. I was there just before covid and I couldn't believe the amount of transplants I saw. It's really interfering with the country music / honky tonk vibe. But even before all that I always found the city fairly boring.
New Orleans is a better city, as others have posted in this thread. As far as Tennessee goes, I prefer Memphis.

Love living in the 37027. Visiting downtown is fun. Some great new restaurant options. Roof Top Bars. Music venues like the Ryman.
And where else in the country can you get plowed??
It's what defines Nashville these days.

Once the tourism and entertainment sector are back to speed, I like Nashville’s chances.
We were there for the LSU game in 2019. Nashville was the place to be that weekend.
Broadway was like nothing I'd ever seen that evening after our game.
You had thousands of people hitting the shops, big clubs, and small music joints.
Then we see thousands of people in Blue and Yellow clothes heading to the arena and find out it's a PRESEASON Predators game. That was a LOT of fans for preseason NHL game.
I'd say Nashville is going to be just fine just based on my 48 hours in the city in 2019.

I've lived in New Orleans all of my life, but from a tourism standpoint, I'd probably recommend Nashville over New Orleans to any outsider.
Just spent a weekend in Nashville and it was as walkable as New Orleans without the worry of being mugged after dark.

Depends what you are looking for, I guess. I'd argue, from a tourism standpoint, Nashville has more (diverse) options. If you're really focued on eating and drinking, then I'd suggest New Orleans.

“Pro business” or whatever. Doesn’t matter when your city doesn’t have an advantage over other cities. Why move a business to Nashville when you can move to Atlanta or Charlotte?

Looks to be plenty to eat Nashville.
