Any thoughts on overnight or sleep supplements that claim to promote muscle growth?

I'm always skeptical of any supplement as I don't think the path to enlightenment is through powders and pills.
That being said I'm sure some of these have some benefit. I was looking into them today at a store and found that the pricing had a huge variance. Before I light my money on fire I figured I'd ask if anyone has any personal experience with these types of products.

I’m no expert at all but I think sufficient protein intake and maybe creatine are the only products you can purchase at a store that are safe and known to help with muscle growth.

This is what I’ve always heard.

Getting good sleep will promote more than enough muscle growth. Specifically, slow wave sleep. Good sleep hygeine with sufficient protein and creatine if you want to is fine.

I suppose I should have mentioned that's one of the selling points of the product in question - allegedly better quality sleep.

I’ve got no idea if ZMA does anything to actually promote muscle growth but I’ll be damned if I don’t get some really deep sleep when I take it
ETA: I’m currently just drinking casein before bed though

ZMA
This can't be stated enough. Most of us are deficient in zine and magnesium. Take you vitamin D, and ZMA. Avoid coronavirus.

Good sleep hygeine
biggest thing and I am prolly the worst offender.
but casien will help as far as meeting your protein requirements.
ZMA will help you sleep
melotonin can help you get to sleep and sleep deeper but it tends to frick with my sleep pattern to where i wake up and cant get back to sleep no matter what.
also MK677 will help as it will make you produce growth hormone and have you begging for the bed.
couple others similar to melotonin that actually cross the brain barrier.
but start with meeting protein and start slowly improving sleep hygeine and getting 8 hours of full sleep.

You just need to monitor how eating late affects your sleep. When I eat late, I can see my heart r as TE stay elevated for about 2 hours then it falls off a cliff to my low sleeping rhr.
But everyone is different, so you just have to monitor it.

Anything claiming that is snake oil. And if you fall for it, you may as well burn money in a fire pit.

Not necessarily, but you are probably just overpaying for things like magnesium, zinc, and melatonin which are really cheap.

That's what I was thinking. It sounded like snake oil. I don't know if I'll be taking any protein before bed since I'm trying to stay in a calorie deficit
