Keep an eye out for this. Baldwin just committed to UW Milwaukee. Word going around K is retiring.

Seems like he has been checkout out for a little while now. Even tried to take away the season and futures of thousands of athletes last season because HE didn’t want to coach.

Would they just hire a Coach K assistant to try and keep the train moving?

Or do they go for a top coach at a top program? Don't see any leaving and there aren't many out there. Mark Few? He's 58. Maybe throw ridiculous cheese at Brad Stevens?

Last option would be reaching for a big time up and comer...Nate Oats? Something like that?

K may be retiring, but I don't know that this has anything to do with it. Plan for awhile had been to play for his dad at UW-Milwaukee. From what I heard, Duke didn't even send him a LOI.

Duke should hire the Villanova coach - young and successful / does it the right way. Used to a small school and northeast.

Would make the most sense.

He’s been considered a mortal lock to sign with Milwaukee.

Tough one for Nike. He's one of their top employees.

He may be considering retirement...who knows. But Baldwin's signing to play at UWM isn't a sign of something to come. He's going to play for his dad who is the HC there. Most have felt for a while that was where he would end up.

Suppose that he retired

I don't want to be his replacement out of the gate. Let someone else be the Bill Guthridge or Matt Dougherty.

Fans and boosters need a reset before they allow a new coach to make over the program in his image. That probably requires a few years in the wilderness.

If I was all these old school coaches I would retire. Wouldn’t want to deal with these kids anymore. This generation sucks. Nothing they can do anymore.
