Not the actual routers but virtual images of the routers at time of election?
If so, those images would have sensitive info.
1- they are providing neither.
2- No they would not contain "sensitive" information.
3- It's a COURT ORDER they are refusing
4- It's a forensic audit. Those are part of the process.

hey keep logs that contain the IP and the times of connection.
Sure, but the article talks about sensitive law enforcement data, social security numbers and other info of that type, far beyond connection logs and audit trails

I assume somewhere they left out the words network attached storage or file server or something along with router
That would be illegal. Nothing is suppose to be networked.. nothing is suppose to be online.
More so, it was so ordered by the court for the BOS to turn them over

I agree with you that they're being POS about it but...
Yes, they would.
Not the actual routers but images/files/logs during election.

Yeah, that's the lie being used as an excuse to refuse to turn over the routers.

there lies the issue.
1- It's not suppose to because the voting system is not to be connected to a network. PERIOD.
2- There should be NO hard drive connected to a router on the voting system.
This is not a "misunderstanding of words and terms".
This has been to court and that was all hashed out. The court ordered it.

Which is dumb because they should be able to black out any truly sensitive info.
They're just fricking with us and as much as I can't wait to hear the final outcome of this, I do not expect any justice whatsoever.

No. Not being a POS. Breaking a court order.

Do tell.

Nope. but feel free to explain it in the knowledge that the voting units are not to be networked or online.

Why isn’t the judge enforcing it? IIRC it was part of the original request to the court for the audit

Should be heard this week

I thought routers only stored login info??
Some routers, such as Cisco ISR routers can have hard drives and separate CPU modules in them which can run VMware and several virtual machines (servers) on them. This is nothing new. Been around 10-15 years. So the same physical chassis that one might traditionally call a “router” can actually route, process, and store data. These are used mostly for “office in a box” scenarios.

I'd guess it's the incremental chain of discovery of information that the opponents and naysayers and obstructionists are actually afraid of. Perhaps not simply this one matter in a vacuum.
In other words, this opening a door to something else, thereby opening another door, and so on and so forth. Just shooting from the hip though. I lack much knowledge here.

There is data on routers. All the logged network traffic, etc.
Only question I had fro that is why would any elections connectivity been on the same routers as Sheriff and federal traffic?

So Maricopa County lawyers must be using this...

... as another lame stall attempt

Why would the voting machines be connected to routers at all? They are not supposed to be connected to the internet. Why would you need those routers, if you aren't connecting to the internet?
That's all they want to check for, to see if in fact, those voting machines connected and what times it happened.

Routers aren't solely used for internet.
