Military baws, question for you

Just saw an army commercial where they made everything look like a glorified COD game where everyone is a super soldier. As people who actually went to the military, do you agree with these tactics? They already attract not the brightest in the word but to further create a delusion instead of reality? I feel the kids are getting lured into something they aren’t qualified for

They also advertise in med schools, for mechanics, etc, etc.

Recruiting is all about numbers. A Recruiter is one of the lowest form of pond scum. Would sell their Momma's soul to the Devil if it meant making the number.

It also depends on the MOS. I mean, 88M’s are gonna do the same shite, no matter the commercial, and unless they can get BJ and the bear with a dash of lot lizards for flavor to do their recruiting, who’s going to be a truck driver?

The military has always used overly dramatized versions of itself to attract volunteers. They never show you what reality is like...a shite ton of sitting around doing nothing or doing mundane tasks.

I mean, there is that guy a couple of days ago who jumped the fence with an automatic rifle and hijacked a bus full of kids to take him to New Jersey. It's all about how you choose to pass the time.

I saw something on the news the other day where they were talking about women in the Marines. That’s another topic all to itself. But they showed maybe a 15 second clip of a bunch of recruits running up a hill and I swear 95% of them looked like the dorkiest, most out of shape kid from your local high school. It was pathetic actually.

It’s not easy getting a high school drop out into fighter pilot school but I think once you pass boot camp they can do it.

I know you are joking, but to be a fighter pilot (or pilot of any other manned aircraft in the AF, Navy, or USMC) you have to be an officer, which means you have to have at least a college degree.

Are we of the belief that anyone doesn’t know the just of the military branches at this point, you have to ignore that to have any concern about this.
Air Force - Women and Air Conditioning, not really the military
Army - You’re not very smart and can catch bullets well, not necessarily with your hands.
Marines - Are you Latino? Do you have a predisposition for domestic abuse or murder of your spouse?
Navy - Are you Latino? Do you have a predisposition for domestic abuse or murder of your same sex spouse?
Space Force - What the frick is that?
