Yeah. It's normal length. It definitely still feels likes an episode of Clone Wars. Very good I thought.

Might jist need to make this the official season long thread

Episode 2 is 30 minutes total with credits. Just a little longer than a typical Clone Wars episode.

For those wandering there are a total of 16 episodes in this season

Similar to the first season of The Mandalorian, which aired two episodes in its first week and then shifted to a weekly schedule afterward, this means Star Wars: The Bad Batch will run for fifteen weeks on Disney+. At one episode a week after the initial premiere week, Star Wars: The Bad Batch will run through most of the summer and finish season 1 by August 13, 2021.
Multiple places are reporting it

What better way to celebrate May the Fourth than with the 70-minute premiere episode of a brand-new Star Wars series. The first episode of The Bad Batch, a slick CGI-animated show from The Mandalorian producer Dave Filoni, is out now. Even better, the next episode is scheduled for just a few days later, arriving on Friday. The first season runs for 16 episodes in total, with subsequent episodes hitting weekly every Friday.

Anyone watch it yet??
We watched it. The husband and kids loved it. I think they get annoyed with me because I didn't watch all of clone wars (they watched it about 3 times)
They're waiting for Dad to get home to watch the second episode.

Episode 2 has an awesome reference to A New Hope with Wrecker. At least I think it is.
I hope y'all notice it.

Okay, Omega is definitely looking like Palps. I wonder if thr Kaminoans stole some Palp DNA or he gave it to them for cloning purposes. I guess they added some Jango DNA as well to round things out.

How? She’s a Fett project just like the rest. You aren’t the first person I’ve seen bring up Palpatine, and I doubt the last. But I think they’ve been clear on her just being an altered Jango clone.

I mean. The hair design of Omega and Clone Wars Chancellor Palps is kinda uncanny. There’s clearly more to Omega than just being a Jango clone. The Kaminoans definitely made more than the normal mods with her. I have a feeling she’ll be confirmed as a force sensitive by seasons end.

Bump for episode 3 dropping today. Watching now.

Hair doesn’t mean too much. Palpatine is not blonde, he’s a graying former red-head.
I took the hair as a reference to Jango’s sister and mom being blonde in legends.
Episode 3 was pretty good. The BB side of it was just pushing them more into accepting Omega, but I also think Wrecker hitting his head could be an issue since they mentioned it multiple times. Tech is also making a chip scanner. Crosshair and Kamino’s side was pretty interesting. Kamino is trying to stay relevant to the military. And now they are testing enlisted soldiers. I wasn’t expecting them to lose a soldier the way they did though.

After this episode, I feel like the chances of Crosshair coming back have decreased. But I still feel like the rest of the Batch will try to save him.

Completely forgot to watch this morning. Good episode?

Yes I think it really pushes the plan for the Imperial Military. Clones certainly serve a purpose even after the war, if they are ramped up like Crosshair is, a “good soldier” will follow any order. And make sure his subordinates do the same. The Imperial recruits are not ruthless killers, but they will be molded into what the Empire wants with the clones still following orders.

So much for this being a kid’s show - not my words. Serious violence in this one.

This. I think it’s going to somehow activate his chip.

I just watched episode 1, enjoying it more than I expected. My kids aren’t sure yet. Not sold yet on Omega, but if she survives they better cast Bobbie Draper as the live action version in some show.

I move that this thread be changed to a “Season One” thread, since we’ve been discussing every episode in it, not just the first episode.
