And he confirmed that tin cup is his best sport film, well said he had the most fun shooting it.
Apparently much weed was consumed.

“So, The Postman...I mean, I bet you regret that one don’t you?”

Talked to him at a restaurant in Shreveport probably 15 years ago, he was pretty cool guy. Didn’t act like a well known celebrity type, especially talking to a redneck like me. At one point I was actually trying to get away from him
He was a talker

Such a bizarre movie. Intro had chance to be entertaining, then he actually does just start delivering mail.

The Postman was good compared to Waterworld.

Waterworld isn't the best movie ever made, but it's pretty damn entertaining.

Jeanne Tripplehorn or Whitney? Which did he prefer?

Still think his best movie was Open Range...

But does he die in the first episode of Yellowstone season 4?

Tin Cup is probably in my top three or four favorite movies period, so I am a pretty big fan of it. Even I can acknowledge it’s not even Kevin Costner’s best sports movie and probably not his second best sports movie (Field of Dreams and Bull Durham are probably better to large scale audience).

Different experience from the early 90’s. He was at a game at the Box. Not sure if a regular season game or a regional. Total a-hole. Had 2 bodyguards with him. Friend and I were about 10 years old. Tried to approach him and he said “don’t bother me”. He was pissed when they announced his presence too.
ETA: actually I have no ill will about it whatsoever. He hurt our feelings at the time but we still laugh about it. Same friend’s dad had a similar experience meeting Mickey Mantle back in the 60’s. Almost a rite of passage for kids to get rejected by their idols/heroes

Tin Cup is one of the best golf movies ever made.
Costner may be a Hollywood a-hole for all I know, but he never came across that way. He's the anti-Alec Baldwin.

He was shooting a movie. Reps from m the production company spoke with my brother about using their house to film several scenes. Did not work out.
