One week on market, 6 offers, 12K above asking price.

This has been my home for ten years. I loved being able to walk out my door and having my choice of great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries all on my street. I loved the reservoirs and the parkland around them. I loved my panoramic view of Midtown and Downtown.

We watched the city burn as violent Marxist mobs rampaged through the city unchecked as the mayor ordered the police to stand down. We stood on the balcony and smelled the smoke and watched the sirens.

Last year a friend of mine huddled with his crying wife and their baby locked in their bathroom as thieves ransacked and vandalized their house. They stayed on the phone with 911 for 30 minutes. The police never came. He said he never felt more helpless. He has since purchased his first gun.

More private security has been hired. People are less friendly and more disrespectful and provocative. Taxes and HOA dues are on the rise. Insurance is skyrocketing. Crime is surging.

I’ll miss what once was and remember it fondly. But I don’t want to be here anymore. I’m ready to go.

Next stop Woodstock, Cherokee County and it’s 70% Trump vote.

Goodbye Atlanta.

I lived in Suwanee, from 2010 to 2016. It was a really nice area and good for the kids.

I'm just saying, this should never happen to anyone! Your friend should have known long ago that the police don't prevent crime, they just solve crimes. He should have had some heat ready to protect his family long before this. I pray for you and your friend.

Woodstock is nice. Reformation Brewery is a good time.

I live in Paulding county. Furthest south I go is to The Battery for Braves games.

I’ll take the kids to Chattanooga before we go to Atl with them.

Wise decision. I have to go to that wretched hell hole for a job tomorrow. I'll be so glad when I can retire and never have to go there again. 1 year 10 months and I'm counting down every day

It may be temporary ground until we decide what we want to do and what our options are.

Perhaps an isolated small town or another country altogether.

What neighborhood were you in? I am in Inman Park and I close on the sale of my place on Monday.

Not everyone wants to play Rambo when some trash tries to break in.

And, legal or not, if he blasts one he will have a mountain of legal bills.

I was in Canton for a few years. Nice small town atmosphere. Never locked doors.

You won’t have big city options and nothing is in walking distance.

I’m so freaking glad that I’ll never be reduced to that level. 1) because of location and 2) because of preparedness.

This is insane.
