I'm on the verge. Huntsville... With demand sky high, housing insurance continuing to go up and the bubble we're on I figure it might be a good idea to sell, pocket 100k and suck up apartment life until the market crashes.
Inventory is continuing to plummet. If you have something that looks good, I’d put it up then.
Then buy back next year from one of the people who overextended

Honestly I would just skip Canton all together and go ahead and move up to Ellijay, Blue Ridge, or Mineral Bluff. You will be safe up there for the next 20 to 25 years. If I were older I would go ahead and head up that way myself.
We left Smyrna and moved to Canton three years ago. I should have gone further north like you said. In three short years even Canton doesn't seem far enough away from the hell hole of Atlanta. I started off growing up in Riverdale / Jonesboro so I guess I'm heading in the right direction. Wyoming might be my next stop.

Even though I live in Fayetteville now (which honestly is not bad at all crime-wise) paradise locally to me is Carroll County. Not Eureka, although close enough to enjoy their restaurants and 45 minutes from Branson and shopping.
You can live on 40 acres of beautiful Ozarks pasture land for cheap, and have some "big city" amenities when you feel like driving a bit, but you're about as far from the mainstream dysfunction of this country as you can get these days without going to the moon.
Eureka is pretty gay (restaurants, art, architecture), but it's a town of 2,000 people surrounded by a county full of redneck country folk.

When I put Riverdale on POB blanks on forms I feel like I get so much street cred

Coco~Cola & Atlanta, both want 2 B Less White. Accept the marginalization of Whites and Asians going forward.

Dirk, I was in Bremen once for a business meeting. It was a picture of a quiet, pleasant, Southern town.
And Carrollton has grown into quite the college town. My bro in law went to school there.
