Can't sell from an empty shelf. The supply chain is Fd up right now

don't forget the outrageous real estate bubble
I'm looking at apts in New Orleans since I'm interviewing for a job down in the CBD and the rents are outrageous. To get a home equivalent to what I own in BR within a similar distance from work would cost at least 3 times what I paid less than a year ago.
I'm out of work, my unemployment still hasn't been approved (applied over a month ago), I won't be able to keep paying the mortgage for much longer, but I might not be able to afford to move without major lifestyle sacrifices even if I'm offered a significantly higher paying job than what I had before. It's absurd.

I could see another late 70's, early 80's style problem.
High inflation, interest and unemployment.

I have been waiting for a part from Italy for my hay mower since last July when it broke. Last I heard it was on its way on a container ship. I lost thousands in hay sales last summer.

When a major spike in inflation occurs and a downward spiral in economic growth you can bet the whole world will feel it . The smaller countries may fair complete breakdown . Europe will be overcome with strife and America much the same I believe . Even with the growth of China around the world they will get absolutely devastated since other countries they have been going into collapse and American dollars ( or lack of ) will be of no help

You won't find it. Pricing is crazy. I live uptown and homes and apartments aren't sitting long.

We all thought Obama was the second coming of Jimmy Carter, but it turns out that was Biden all along. Obama ended up being the second coming of LBJ. I guess that would make Trump Nixon in this analogy?

We hit double digit interest in CDs again and I just may quit my job.

Yep. I'm probably just going to have to rent somewhere and hope that I can rent out my house in BR to keep the mortgage paid. It seems like I'd come out way behind if I tried to sell my house in BR and buy something uptown despite my house in BR, I'm sure, selling for a substantial profit.

I'm not sure I'd buy here right now. Even though I have said this for a long time and keep getting it wrong.

I had to pay the tax bill of selling the stock even though I did not sell any of it. It just changed locations.
Forgive me if this doesn't sound like another Zach tall tale

It's going to be really bad. All of my suppliers have already alerted me to price increases and the cost of freight right now is through the roof. I'm going to have to raise my prices too as a result.
Catfish Feed and chemicals are through the roof for us. Having to switch to lower quality feed to make numbers work. I’m at the mercy of the market as far as pricing goes but prices are pretty high right now

How long can low interest rates go on? Aren't we at like 20 years now? I think my parents bought a condo in the early '80's at like 14% financing or something. Can you imagine what that would do to our economy now?

The only harvest seine/net manufacturer relies on China to get corks for the nets and has a huge backlog to get nets made because he is out of corks and his order is somewhere out there on a container ship and has been for 2 months. We have to steady patch old dry rotted nets we already own just to get by. I’m almost at the point of cutting off the corks of old nets and telling the manufacturer to use those corks on my new nets

it's odd the things you can't seem to find in the stores. I've been looking everywhere for powdered laundry soap, Grape Nuts, my husband's favorite brand of beer , et al
Stock your food pantry now while you can before prices shoot up and the shelves empty.

But Joe and the rest of the liberals said that's not how it works. They said increased taxes and cost to businesses come from their unfairly high profits they don't get passed down to the consumer.
I don't get it..

The CCP is pleased with Biden.

We have some money in mutual funds/investment accounts and might move it all to CDs soon. Might be a smart move

Kind of off topic but I was watching a show the other night and this kid was telling an old man about “finding himself” the old man said “ You know how we “found ourselves” when I was your age? By killing Nazis.”
