That was a good game to watch, and the talk around JL Is real. His backhand play was pretty special, considering he shifted to his left two steps before the ball was hit. Had the presence of mind not to try and unload a rocket and risk a wild throw, but use the term infield as a bounce pass. Hit the ball hard oppo in his last AB on an outside pitch.

Just came here to say Byrd is the biggest pussy school in America for being one of the largest PUBLIC schools in the state and opting to play in Division I. Probably smart as they'd never win a title in 5A...
But hell got a chance this year seeing as they have won one game and are already in the semi's lol...
Just to show how much better 5A is this year than division I... Benton won Byrd's division and only had one loss. And a much better overall record than Byrd... Benton was the 7 seed in 5A... Byrd was the 1 seed in Division I
This whole split up is so damn stupid

Byrd had no say so in the matter. They didn't opt in to anything. Magnet enrollment is above the threshold that some assholes came up with so they were kicked to select. I guarantee you no one at Byrd wants to be on the select side of this bullshite. This is pretty well known. Byrd and Scotlandville are the only two public schools in the state that this happened to. Neither by design.

The week they had byes, St. Charles and Jesuit played two games. St. Charles won both of those games.

For nearly a decade by 7-8 4a and 5a schools that were “tired” of jc/eca
