I realize that it has been shut down due to COVID, but I have rarely seen any of the rides operate as I have passed by during the three years I've been in Baton Rouge. A lot of money was spent on the parking area and pedestrian bridge across Highland. Was it ever popular? What is the deal with it?

Yeah it was closed last summer, but other than that every summer it is pretty packed. Saw a sign saying they were hiring 700

well when I was young, I saw a lot of female wardrobe malfunctions.

Before readily available internet, you had to put in work.

I can't imagine how rusted out everything is after sitting unused and off for more than a year and a half. You know they did zero maintenance on those rides while they were closed.

It’s pretty packed every summer (except last summer of course)

I took my kid there during the week a few years ago. Was told that’s the thing to do if you don’t want to wait in lines too much. It was fun. Went back on a weekend and it was miserable due to the locals. We never went back.

Crews have been working on Blue Bayou daily to get the Water Park up and running. I believe some posters mentioned the Dixie Landing(amusement park side) may be being sold off.

Last year someone posted a great Reddit thread about the financial opportunities of buying Blue Bayou, and its potential for substantial profitability. The individual clearly did some research to support his idea which was textbook. Unfortunately, it was apparent he’d never actually been anywhere near Baton Rouge...and made the entire thesis comical.

Huh? It's usually packed during the summer.

You mean when you drive by at 8am and 5pm on weekdays?

I wish Blue Bayou was more like Action Park. Would make things that much more entertaining.
