Throw in the 2021 mixing pot a bevy of starters back with years of high-end recruiting lining the depth chart, this LSU squad might be the most talented team in the nation

LSU Football: Tigers' 2021 Schedule Analysis

Week 10 – Nov. 6 at Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.)
After a tight 46-41 win in Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2019, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban got a big slice of revenge in Tiger Stadium last season, walking out with a 55-17 dismantling of LSU. Saban would love nothing more than to start marching towards another eight-game winning streak against their rivals, but LSU is loaded. Bama will have a stout defense in 2021 but there are question marks surrounding the offense. Per usual, the winner of this one should be on their way to representing the SEC West in Atlanta.

What a stupid statement. The same could be said for every team in the West since Bama usually makes it to Atlanta.

Listen, LSU is always loaded, they're the only team I say that can compete with Alabama every year talent-wise. The talent has always been there, but the difference as usual has been in the "coaching" area. Last season was a disaster especially on defense, the coaching was horrible and now hopefully that's been fixed. But even when Miles was HC, the talent has always been there to compete against Alabama, and Saban knows that, but his smug arse knows LSU's coaching has always held them down.

We could start a team with as many as 11 players in their 5th or 6th year of college.

And 5 more 4th year players.

I said years ago that O’s typical pattern will be to have seasons where we fall short of success. The heat gets on him. We turn it around and win enough to relieve the heat. Sometimes just enough. Then the cycle continues. I mean after 5 wins last season- 8-10 will come off as great improvement. The main question to answer will be was the NC a freak happening inside the pattern or will we see regular championship runs.

Coach O’s avg final ranking after 4 full seasons?
19.
A great season.
A decent season.
A couple of sucky seasons.
Some good hires. Some horrible hires.
Some great decisions. Some pathetic decisions.
I think we ride this pattern as long as O is here.

This bullshite narrative that LSU is the most talented team needs to end. It’s false. We are probably top ten and most certainly capable of making a run on almost any given year but to say that we match up with the likes of Alabama Ohio state and Clemson year in and out is nonsense.

To beat Alabama, we have to play our best game and they have to play their worst game. End of discussion. That’s the way it’ll always be as long as Saban is there.

If you would tell me they get Gilbert for a full year, plus either mike woods or Donovan Kaufman, I would give LSU another full win on this year. Big holes at those 3 positions

I listened to the Athlon cover 2 podcast. They said LSU will be one of two things this year: a 9/10 win team headed to a major bowl and possible playoff contention or a 4/5 win team with the bottom completely falling out from under them.

If LSU gets above average play from the WR and LB they will win the West. The rest of the team is stacked.

Is this the same as “ this defense is farther ahead now than anytime last year”?
