Yep
Orgeron has the one year as an outlier to what has otherwise been more of the same only with a host of off the field crap to embarrass the school.

Miles let LSU talent slide. So no. On the line of scrimmage and QB LSU was pretty far below Bama after 2012. No one would claim..Jenkins, Harris and Etling as remotely comparable to Bama QBs. Even Jefferson and Lee were far below Bama QBs. Even in 2019 Bama was better than LSU on the line of scrimmage. LSU was much closer... in the second half of our win...Bama blew LSU off the line of scrimmage.
2021 does shape up to be very good. Great opportunity

quote:Miles didn't let LSU talent slide, the recruiting he did was always great, he always locked down the state of LA. Maybe, the recruiting in other states could have been better, but Miles did a great job recruiting-wise, he kept up what Saban started. Listen, everyone on here knows that LSU has been dominated in games by Alabama in the trenches and that LSU's OLine talent has never matched Alabama's. I don't know why y'all feel the need to keep bringing that up. But even with them being outplayed at the scrimmage by Alabama they still have had the athletic talent at the skill positions to match up with Alabama.

They've always had that talent at the skill positions, but as I said in my previous post the offenses that Les Miles ran played right into the hands of Saban and Alabama. Saban caught on after awhile and knew that all Miles wanted to do was just pound the damn ball and so he had his DLine destroy LSU's OLine at the point of attack. As soon as the ball was snapped Alabama's DLine was driving LSU's OLine backwards standing them up by getting great leverage on them to just drive them back off the ball. The run game could never do shite, and when they were forced to pass that was even worse.
Someone on here said Miles was in games against Alabama even with the lack of QB play and terrible offense and all, but that was true early on when they started playing against each other. Once Saban figured him out the games became routine blowouts.
people on here said that if we would ever spread Alabama out with a spread passing attack they wouldn't be able to stop us, and look what happened in 2019. Last season the QB play just wasn't there, well, maybe if Brennan hadn't got hurt we would have fared better. But the defense must be fixed this season because the offense can produce now with a offense that finally passes the ball regularly.

That's why they call him Two Loss Les. Guy was going to lose 2 a year no matter who we played and not matter how much NFL talent was lining the Tiger Stadium sidelines.

Alabama wasn't less talented than us in 2019
They brought back the same team in 2020 and went undefeated.

LSU was lucky to win that game.FACT.
Patently false.

If Bama had three more mins though.... Look LSU dominated Bama but should have won by at least 20.
GTFOH with this pathetic shite. It was an arse kicking, and the game is 60 minutes. No one gives a shite about an imaginary 63 minute football game.

LSU is always loaded, they're the only team I say that can compete with Alabama every year talent-wise. The talent has always been there,
Not even close.
Year in and year out, Bama's DL makes quick work out of the LSU. (And and vice versa)
2019 was an exception due to Thunder Brady and Lightning Burrow! The OL wasn't that great, but Thunder had Lightning getting the football out of his hand and matriculating it downfield so quickly, that the OL didn't have to hold their blocks so long......

He's got a bit of a point. We pistol whipped them in the first half. They were reeling us in, in the second half.
That’s what happens when superior teams beat the piss out of inferior teams in the first half, they relax a little in the third quarter, then get serious and put the game away. LSU would have scored three TDs in a row to finish the game, but they ran the clock out instead.

Bama never had the ball on offense with a chance to tie or take the lead in the second half but yes LSU got lucky.

Bull crap..... Bama basically dominated the second half.....

I wouldn't say dominated I really think having Delpit back there cost us at least 2 touchdowns. No way in hell that last touchdown scored should have happened. Delpit really had some wtf moments his last year at LSU. Not hatin on him but it's the truth.

That TD at the end was a fluke and you know that, Stingley took a nap letting Smith run right past him, Bama should have lost by 2 TD's. ( Smith owned him in both games, sadly) But Stingley, has regressed imo, he looked to me to have taken off last season with hardly playing any good defense. I don't know if this was a lack of respect for Bo Pelini or whomever, but he needs to have a breakout season this year in getting back to where he was if he intends on going in the top 5 of the NFL draft.
