There is a plan in place that could see him play this Fall if he does everything (exactly) that is set forth for him over the next few months. He has already been taking classes online through LSU and will “re-enroll” next month to continue through the summer. The biggest hurdle will be getting him cleared with the NCAA, but they have set forth very specific goals he has to meet academically. He controls his future right now and the next few months will dictate his fate for the Fall

Honestly, stay or go, whatever. I’m just tired of hearing about it. He needs to make a decision already. His teammates, no matter how much they like him, have to be tired of this shite

He back, nice.... as much as I hate to say it... we really need him in the passing game. But he needs to get his damn head straight and the team ultimately needs to make the choice

Can he practice before Fall?

Any and all weapons are welcome if they put in the work imo

This is huge, I believe Peetz/Mangas would get the most out of Arik.... that old fart Passing game coordinator last year was probably terrible to play under

He really needs to commit to the program and stick with it.

I like it. It's good for us, and I like giving a young man a second chance

I'm all about second chances. I hope he gets his life straight and can contribute to the team. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Dude has mental problems that extends much further than just football. Hope he gets it all figured out such a great talent.

Glad to hear it. This has potential to be a great redemption type story. It also goes to show parents that O cares about their kids.

What about his other issues (whatever they were).
I think the best thing is to give him a year to figure that stuff out.

I hope he does it. This is a great story in the making.

It is almost incredible how football players can fail to make the BARE MINIMUM grades to remain eligible. There are many guys playing football (not just for LSU) who are damn near illiterate and somehow remain eligible.
Many are not there to “play school”. The athletes have virtually every possible advantage/aid to help them remain eligible. And most aren’t taking rigorous case loads or studying demanding majors. To flunk out in this day and age requires a tremendous amount of not giving a shite.

I sure hope he is successful because it sure looks like he is going to be needed in the fall.
