I tried on this watch and it felt nice and solid. It was going for $3200. Wanted some feedback from those in the know.

A fool and his money........

If you like it, go for it. Quality brand, but will likely not retain value or really appreciate in value. If none of that is a priority, I think you'll enjoy it.

Not a fan of integral bands, but you weren’t going to put it on a strap anyway...so it’s moot to you.

for similar money you can get a speedmaster professional, if you really want a chronograph

I've had my eye on this B&M for a while.

+1
For just a little more than that Baume & Mercier you could probably get a pre-owned hesalite Speedy. May not be what you're looking for though, but just a suggestion.

Man save your money and at least get a Rolex, this watch is essentially worthless, a rolex has a market you can at least sell it on, nobody is buying that.

It is a solid Swiss brand and (likely) a solid watch (I don't own the watch). It likely won't appreciate on the pre-owned marked (like Rolex and some other brands/watches) and very few people, other than "watch people" will recognize the brand. But if you don't care about that kind of stuff and you really like the watch, get it! Buy the watch that makes YOU happy. Who cares what other people think?
I have an Omega Seamaster sitting on my wrist right now. It's not the Bond "Golden eye" model that is the most popular, but a different Seamaster. My wife doesn't "get it" and thinks it is a huge waste of money. Most people I come across think it is a nice watch but many don't know the brand (it could be a Seiko and their opinion wouldn't change). But NONE of that matters to me because I appreciate the watch.

Better investment would be to snag this one and spend the rest of your $ on hookers and blow.

True.. but EVERYBODY that likes chronos has a Speedmaster. Plus they make a million different versions of them which takes off the allure.

Hints of IWC Portuguese in that B&M.

Nothing Wrong with Baume et Mercier. They make solid entry-level luxury watches but like most entry-level luxury they don't hold value well, you can find those used with box and papers for $1500 or so. While B et M has produced some nice manufacture movements in the last few years most are powered by pretty basic ETA movements. Nothing wrong with that they are workhorses. That watch is a last-generation Rivera (no longer made) and has an ETA 7753 which is stock save for a signed rotor. I like the 775X variants but some people hate the unidirectional winding. When the rotor spins in the non-winding direction it can spin really fast and cause what is known as the 7750 wobble. Some dislike it because you can feel and hear it (depending on the case) but I think it makes the watch feel alive.
B et M I usually consider at least a 30% off retail watch and that being an OOP design I would expect closer to 40% off but that might be pushing it at a brick and motor store.
In the end as always it comes down to do you like it to the exclusion of all the watches you could buy at the price point.

Bro...
I have no issue with smartwatches but "luxury" smartwatches are not a wise buy.
If you want a golf watch get the Garmin Approach S62 and have $2000 leftover to buy something else OR save it to buy the next 5 smart golf watches that will come out over the next 5 years with ever-increasing functionality.
The last bastion of sense left in spending a lot of money for a watch is that it can last lifetimes if cared for but even that bit of twisted logic is lost on tech that is designed with obsolescence in mind.

That is a good looking piece.

I've looked at them before but did not buy.
I have 8 Breitlings including one Bentley which I have on now.
2 Omega's.
2 Hublot's
1 Rolex.
I admit, the Hublot Big Bang is my favorite. The one I have is the 7th of 50 produced.
