Her accomplishments, intellect and work ethic CANNOT be overstated!

If Pat Head Summitt were still coaching, she would be justifiably wary, having to compete vs Kim Mulkey!! And Geno Auriemma would not make the remarks he uttered to the media, about Caldwell-Fargas’ benign neglect of LSU WBB, were he to return to BR.

Airiemma’s paraphrase: I don’t know what happened to LSU WBB but it is nowhere it used to be!!! He was not disrespectful but agape about NCF’s lack of competitiveness! It was a great embarrassment to LSU Athletics and NCF did not care. ALEVA extended her contract.

It may have been “just WBB” but a real black eye on LSU Athletics, it’s not like ALEVA was not known as a rotten apple from his Duke reputation. Folks this just tells you how incompetence reigns at LSU!! Sorry to have to say it.....

Am I wrong??

Neither the city nor the university would confirm such talks are underway, however.
"The city and Baylor University have a long-standing relationship and shared goals to positively impact Waco as evidenced by our past partnerships on McLane Stadium and the Baylor Research / Innovation Collaborative facility. At this point there are no plans for the Pavilion to be located in the Riverfront Development,” the city said in a statement Wednesday.

Mulkey has been a winner at every level. She is kind of Sabanish in her coaching style, if her son Kramer went 3-4 at the plate and they interviewed her, she was more likely to talk about his groundout and where he needs to get better than his three hits. She would turn LSU women's basketball into a national contender in a very short time.

She wouldn't be a bad baseball coach either. lol. Coaching is coaching. She wins so much because she hates to lose. She was the same way as a player. One tough lady.

Rough and Tough indeed!

We already have enough Pizz Ant Paper Tigers managing sports at LSU, you can start with Volleyball and now throw in Baseball, IMHO....

There is no veiling of anything. No sport is deserving of continued investment that it’s never going to come close to matching in revenue or exposure. It has nothing to do with women’s basketball. Swimming isn’t deserving of a $50 million dollar facility. If football was losing $20 million a year they wouldn’t deserve things either.

The more accurate description of the situation is you’re a women’s basketball fan and therefore want to see them be given every opportunity to be successful regardless of the cost. The problem you’re running into is you only cared about women’s basketball, at least until this thread started.

And there it is.................your assessment.......which makes no sense in this context.........is that it makes no sense to invest in a program that loses money. The bottom line to that is, it makes PERFECT sense. Simply because, in the end, it ISN'T about how much money the sport makes. It's about about everything else. Clearly, this is beyond your comprehension.

Baylor will be very loaded next year. The year after is a bit of a rebuilding year.

Stop trolling this board. If she was LSU bound she wouldn’t be doing recruiting today for Baylor

I don’t know if she’s coming to LSU or not, but this is a dumb take. She could’ve agreed to preliminary terms or just said she’s open to the idea and still be recruiting for her current job.

Happens all the time.

Sounds like she’s perfectly content at Baylor and is aiming for another national championship there. If she were strongly considering LSU, we would probably know something.
