Trip to Lexington booked need your opinion

Were flying into Louisville and staying downtown Lexington.
Any recommendations on places to eat, bars, etc in Lexington and even Louisville must see places? Is it possible to check out Church Hill Downs? etc

There's about ten distilleries you can visit in central Kentucky along the way. And stop by and take a picture of Abe Lincoln's log cabin home in Hodgkinsville and the nearby "My Old Kentucky Home" in Bardstown.

You can visit the Kentucy Derby Musuem at Churchill Downs. A walking tour is included with the museum ticket, and then there are specialty tours available as well.
I wasn't a horse or horse-racing fan, but I really, really enjoyed the museum. Lots of interactive exhibits, and there's a 360-degree theatre that shows a ~20 minute film that will turn you into a race fan.

You can take the Kentucky Bourbon Trail but I wouldn't expect to feel up to going to the game the next day

I was in attendance for the 2002 hail Mary game.
Kentucky fans are vicious. Don't make the mistake they are just about Basketball.

definitely plan on hitting Keeneland one day. It is a great time, weather should be great.
A couple good steak places - Jeff Ruby's opened downtown and Malones in Landsdowne. Old school steak house downtown is Columbia's.
Dudleys downtown is very good, Carsons and Coles 735 are good as well.
A few low key places in Chevy Chase - Bourbon & Toulouse (Cajun), next to Chevy Chase Inn, best dive bar in town, also Charlie Browns, Bear & Butcher and Josies- good breakfast/ brunch.
Merrick Inn good old style club restaurant, great patio, bit of older crowd.
Good pizza - Joe Bologna's on Maxwell, its in an old church.
In addition to the bourbon tours, the horse farms also offer tours, Claiborne, Lanes End, 2 of the bigger ones, both have Derby winners standing stud. Also the Horse Park is pretty neat and has a complete history of the horse not just racing, but has several exhibits about racing in Ky.

How many days are you going to be in KY? Where are you staying? If just a weekend trip for the ballgame I would not try to do Louisville in addition to Lexington. If you fly in Friday, drive over to Lexington and maybe hit a bourbon tour on the way in at buffalo trace or woodford. Makers is a little out of the way and wild turkey isn't great other than the view.
Saturday go out to keeneland early and enjoy one of the best racing experiences. I would recommend grandstand or box tickets but general admission is fine. After a day of drinking and betting on ponies head into town for the game. Don't expect the tailgating scene to blow you away as compared to BR, but folks are nice and the tailgating is all very close to the stadium which is a nice hometown atmosphere. Parking near the game is very easy compared to BR. You've already gotten a lot of good recs for food.
My advice would be not to try to do too much in too short of a timeframe. If you've got 4-5 days there's plenty more bourbon tours and horse farms to visit, plus Louisville.

Flying into Louisville very early Friday morning. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Downtown Lexington. Looks to be a great location. Cant wait for this trip. It’s been circled since 2007 since it’s the last SEC EAST stadium I need

I will be there for the game and my group is doing a few distilleries on Friday, the game and Jeff Ruby’s Saturday and then pony’s on Sunday at Keeneland.

Keeneland track just outside Lex is a much more picturesque prospective of ky horse country. Visit the bar in kentucky castle.
Churchill Downs is in shite hole Louisville surrounded by slums. Stay in Lex.
Go see a distillery. Three Boys Farm Distillery is an authentic experience and the Bourbon is terrific !
