Mason sand is what you’re looking for.

Most trucking companies will deliver it to you, but that’s larger loads, say 8 yards typical small truck.

I’ve also seen it at landscape/nursery stores. I know Cleggs has some sand they sell by the yard with the other bulk soil.

You should be able to buy it by the super sack from a masonry supply house. I need to do this and that’s what I’ll likely do so I don’t have to deal with a whole load of sand.

Got mine from Mouton Sand and Gravel. I pulled my utility trailer and they dumped a yard in there for me. Think it was like $35 a yard for masonry sand.

Locally owned lumber yards who have it will usually load a yd in your truck, or deliver with a lift flat bed with side boards up to about 3 yds as I recall. I’ve done it both ways.

ETA- mason sand. This is how brick layers get the sand to mix their mortar. They get a relatively small load delivered

Just called them 4:30pm Friday 4/9 and told "we only have river silt and don't carry sand."
