re: We have a culture problem it's time to address it. Shame on those blaming Sharon.

It's more than that and you know it. You are minimizing it and being disingenuous.

I have no problem cleaning up and repairing a culture problem, which was already in the process of happening real-time.

Sueing your employer and alma-mater and going to the media is not the right way to do it, though, IMO. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Just because her intentions may be good/wholesome - which is debatable given that I’m sure she’ll be after monetary “damages” - does not make what she did right.
She is part of the AD, has been for decades. She canvassed, culled, interviewed and hired the girls while pulling a paycheck and benefits for years.

Now all of the sudden her conscience shows up and she claims she was harassed, pressured, discriminated against, under-paid and tormented and needs to sue her alma-mater?

If your AD needs a cleansing, it should start with the old-timers first. JMHO

I was responding to the OP who solely and specifically cited "Les not wanting to hire girls who look like the bowling team". Which is why I said there were certainly issues that need to be addressed, but the specific exampled discussed in the OP isn't one of them.

We live in an upside-down world these days. Common sense is out of style and frowned upon if it offends someone.

If Les Miles sexually assaulted or sexually harassed a girl, I’ll join in with pitchforks...take him down.

But as far as “hire pretty girls to host these boys”.... well, yeah, why weren’t we doing that already Sharon?

Miles is quite the a-hole it seems. That is a little of a shock.

Ausberry is a suck up, that is no surprise.

Other than that, it seems about right.

I didn't pay USA Today to read the article but it sounds like she participated in the activity for nearly two decades and now goes public with it as shite hits the fan in the AD.

Two decades pulling a paycheck with excellent benefits and a State retirement plan. Now we find out (many years later) that she's been "tormented" in her job.
Are we to ignore the fact that she willingly participated and was ultimately responsible for selecting and hiring the girls for the AD?

TRUEDAT: She will have to swear before Almighty God!!

Lying under oath to God is tantamount to APOSTASY!

Beware!!! You cannot unwittingly lie under oath! You cannot mock God!!!!

I’d be perfectly fine if anyone who has been employed by the LSU athletics department for longer than 5 years was let go today. Seems like a complete shite show over there top to bottom.

Blame whoever, but Sharon is an absolute piece of shlt for doing this on a national article.

She was blamed by Verge and Miriam for not reporting incidents to them in a timely manner. I bet she was pissed for being their scapegoat and got talked into "setting the record straight" by attorneys and reporters

According to the Advocate, she was subjected to "years of retaliation." She could have reported any violations and if nothing was done and it was covered up and the administration retaliated, then she should have gone public and/or filed lawsuits years ago.

By her own account, she let this shite go on for years and only now is filing lawsuits. She went along with whatever because she was on the payroll and now she's ready to cash out.

Lawsuits are always about money.

She reported it it was ignored. What else is she suppose to do? Get a gun and threaten people. Go to the media which she didn't do. Like wth.

My question to you is why didn't she file these complaints years ago with the EEOC?

I think the lawyers know this is the right time because of all the crap going on with Title IX and the LSU leadership right now. I have a feeling she won't feel so emotionally abused when she settles for alot of money.

And for what it's worth, I ran a company for 27 years. We had 4 discrimination inquiries by the local EEOC office. We won all 4 cases because we did nothing wrong and had the documentation to prove it.

Some of this stuff may be true but it wouldn't surprise me if alot of this has been blown out of proportion by Ms Lewis.

If she was treated so bad why not quit? She didn’t have a problem collecting a check from such a corrupt university.
