I haven't made it through a single episode without falling asleep. The action scenes are great, but when this show slows down, it slooooooows doooooooooown.

That's where I'm at. It feels like a lot of good stuff thrown out there but not a lot of direction, whereas WV felt pretty focused and you got a feel for where it was headed at the end of each week (and maybe this is a hindsight 20/20 deal). I'm hopeful the last 3 shows hone it in.

The Flag Smashers part of the show is boring. If they are trying to make us sympathetic to them, it won’t work. I’m also like 90% sure that the guy working with John Walker is connected with the biracial Flag Smasher in some way - lover, relative, something.

I will say this though, Bruhl is amazing as Zemo. I really hope they put him in the Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts. He’s probably the third best villain they have in the MCU behind Thanos and Loki.

Sharon’s fight scenes were probably the best I’ve seen with a female fighting multiple males. She has to go with tacit and targeted strikes because every time they strike her, you can tell it takes it’s toll. She fights exactly how she would be taught to fight in hand to hand combat training when you have a much larger and stronger opponent.

I stumbled on this interesting video yesterday. He theorizes that there was a pandemic story line that was the center of the show but they wrote it out for obvious reasons. He makes a pretty compelling argument and it accounts for why the show has felt disjointed for me at times or like I was missing some information.

I do think it's interesting that they are making the "villains" of the show a group of minorities that don't believe in or respect borders. Especially with what's going on at the border.

What's that other group Marvel has of heroes that used to be villains?

I really loathe the People who feel it's their job to start the weekly thread. Same with game threads too.

Newsflash no one gives a frick who the OP is. This was horrible with Game of Thrones and Walking Dead when they were popular

Really good episode. The narrative is becoming quite clear why Sam is truly the only one worthy of having that shield.

He is still clean at heart. Everyone around him, including Bucky, has blood in their hands now

Very good episode.

Unlike some here, I have really enjoyed this show. It's really digging into the "reality" of what would have happened when 3.5 billion people suddenly show back up after 5 years.

It also shows that Thanos was right. The Earth apparently was a better place.

Zemo is great.

Walker is a sympathetic figure. He's clearly a damaged person, but also wants to do what is "right." Now that he's got the serum, it is going to get interesting.

And I stand by my previous statement that Sharon is the Power Broker.

Turned out better for the flag smashers. Make Captain America look evil and make the flag smasher a martyr

Really good episode.

John is unhinged now. His frustration was very sympathetic and understandable, he has a lot of pressure.

And now Lamar’s death has pushed him over the edge. Yikes

The narrative is too vague to make that determination. No matter what the world is like you always see the strong dominate the weak and evil will always exploit opportunities. You might recall that Hawkeye was a one man killing machine during the blip taking on the worst types of people in this new world.

Agreed. Excellent addition to the MCU.

This shows why Steve Rogers was the perfect person to receive the serum. A good but weak person that never had power and respects how it can be abused.

Maybe but I still feel like this is a red herring. I tend to think she's undercover still working for the good guys or perhaps on her own. It's almost too predictable to make her the powerbroker.

What a great episode. The last two should be really intense. Also such a great shot at the end with Walker holding the shield covered in blood.

I’m not really feeling the show anymore. If it didn’t tie directly into the movies, I would probably drop it. It’s just something that you really wouldn’t expect a marvel project to be…boring
