I've been hesitant to call him a victim here. The story on his dad was weird. Rando guy emails him and says "things are about to get bad for your son but for some legislation and a nice fee, we can see to it that it goes away" and Gaetz dad immediately meets with him the next day?
That was a red flag to me. If they're extorting you on some trumped up shite, you don't meet with an extortionist just to hear him out.

What is amazing is if this is true, and this would have happened in Louisiana, there would be no crime at all. (17 is age of consent here.) So, the way our country is set up, you can do something in Louisiana and it is perfectly ok, or you can go to Florida, do the same thing, and get jailed and labeled a sex offender for the rest of your life, and have to register and notify neighbors that you are a sex offender. Truly odd the way this is treated differently based on location. (I guess legalized pot is similar...).
......As was pointed out in a later post, it would still be trafficking if he took her across state lines for purposes of sex as that falls under Federal law and not state age of consent laws. Still screwy imo...

I’m just gonna hold judgment on this. Gaetz was supposed to be fooling around with a younger chick and the whole time he kept a high profile for being maybe the most hated Republican after Trump by the Dems and the media. I'm assuming some corrupt FBI agents are the 'anonymous sources'.
They did that same thing to trump for 4 years. Every other day, they'd feed the media an orange man bad story. Got to the point where they were saying that trump and his entire family will be arrested for Russian collusion.
Normally using lies as legit leaks....is only aimed at uniparty politicians who don't play ball and do as they are told. Hunter Biden? That laptop was sat on for a year, no fbi leaks.

Feinstein's driver of almost 2 decades being a Chinese spy? No leaks as to whether or not she's being investigated.
