It's tough to figure out, but let's just win and make it all make sense.

Safford is coming out with a Bagwell stance tonight. Playing for base runners in front of Crews.

Fine with having safford in the lineup.....but at 2?! Ell fricking ell. This must be a bunt or hitnrun spot in the lineup, and we’ve resorted ourselves to that

I'll ask.... Is Safford better option than Drost?

Beloso, I just hope he makes me eat crow at some point, but just don’t see why PM forces this upon the team.....

I just can't overlook that something else has to be going on that Arnold isn't in the lineup more often. He's not as good as Cranford defensively, but he's definitely not terrible. He's leaps and bounds better than Cranford offensively.

If my math is correct, Cranford has started 5 conference games to Arnold's 1. Arnold has as many hits as Cranford in conference.

I would have Drost as my left handed hitter playing instead of Safford

Defensively, probably, but still really not enough tape on Safford to say that definitively. He's a converted infielder. Drost seems slow in the OF.

Offensively, probably not. Drost clearly has more upside offensively, unless Safford just turns into a walk machine. They both have a lot of swing and miss so far - Drost has shown some pop that Safford has not. I guess we'll see what Safford can do. Plenty of praise for both guys coming in.

I've already made the Thompson-Robertson mistake, and I'll surely make the Safford, Sanford, Samford, Stanford mistake eventually.
